Plenty of news on 321ignitionmag.com from the 2010 Dial Before You Dig Australian Six Hour.
Updates will appear on 321ignitionmag.com and thenationals.com.au throughout the day. Tyre and fuel strategies have been big talking points all weekend, so stay tuned to the live streaming, it should be an interesting race. |

Really enjoyed the event, strange to see no safety car and so many black flags. Congrats to Luff/Kostera, a class above every one else
I tell you what there were some quick cars in the race. Ryan Mcleod's Astra is really in the wrong class, pretty much 4 - 6 secs quicker per lap than its class competitors. Shame about the F6 only lasting a hand full of laps. I only realised at the end that the Kirkham Fiesta XR4 was is class D, not E. So the Yaris won class E. How did the Fiesta jump up a class? It was strange seeing the Conroy Integra driving around with no front windscreen and no rear boot/glass, at the track they were calling it a Japanese ute. |

A good days racing. Espically the Mini. Not sure who was driving. But would lock the rear tyres evertime through turn 2 and was going side by side with other cars for about 10 laps between turns 2 and 3.

Great weekend. There was also some talk of an 8 hour race in November/December at Eastern Creek. Does anyone have any info?
Also, where were the cars from Pro-Duct, WBR or the Walden's? I thought the Walden's were the ones leading the rebellion against the 12 Hour decision? I also didn't hear anything about the 12 Hour next year until some lady began handing out 12 Hour flyers for next year. Maybe some of the competitors have had a sudden change of heart and will line up at the Mount in 2011? |

WBR were in Townsville with the Utes the other weekend weren't they? So perhaps not much time to get back and then prep the car and get to Sydney. Although I don't think Lee is too interested in Production Cars anymore and looking to race in other categories.
Pro-Duct have rarely compted outside of the enduro races. Not sure if they have any intention of competing in the 12 Hour next year either. Would have been good to give TMR a bit more of a challenge. Ditto the Waldens.... they don't run until the 12 hour. The ARDC 8 Hour isn't confirmed yet. But it will be open to Production Cars as well as NZ cars etc etc. It's not part of the Australian Manufacturers Championship though, and from what I have been told, is being pushed hard by the guys in Combined Touring Cars in NSW. |

Article in Enews suggests that next years production car series will consist of four x 6 hour endurance races at Eastern Creek, Queensland Raceway, Winton & Phillip Island. The series "could" also be a stand alone event. Two of the events may also be twilight events that finish in darkness.
