I think, even though it looks really nice in black to make it look even better use a different colour you see all the other cars on the track are all sorts of colours but overall an amazing car with huge flames

Great to see pic and video of the car in action - it's one of the things I'm most looking forward to seeing at Silverstone.

Wasn't there some confusion as to how this car could be homologated? I don't remember exactly the process.

Agree... in my opinion it shouldn't even be homologated at this point.

The production run of the GT ended with the 2006 model year on 21 September 2006, with 4038 cars produced [1] out of an originally-planned 4500, and the Wixom Assembly plant, where the GT was finish-assembled, is scheduled for closure in 2007 and as stopped production of all models as of May 31, 2007[1]. Sales of the GT continued into 2007, from cars held in storage and in dealer inventories.

Thanks.

In that case, its very odd indeed they are planning a development of the car for racing in the 2009 season, 3 years after it gone out of production...

It's a privateer effort with no input or support from Ford, so presumably they're planning to develop it because they believe they've got a competitive car on their hands, even though it's out of production.

Thinking back to the old Group A touring cars in the 80's, weren't FIA homologations valid either for a fixed number of years, or a certain period of years after the end of production or something like that?

FIA homologation still has a time limit from when a car goes out of production. That's why Viper GTS-Rs can no longer run GT1, their homologation period ran out.
