Years ago, in Eurosport there was a FIA GT full race, more than 3 hours of Maseratis, Ferraris, Saleens etc. And for me it's still better than three repeats of every single Snooker cups - heh, if only snooker...

Morand Racing to campaign an OAK/Morgan LMP2 in the ELMS next year, and possibly at Le Mans. Hopefully these announcements give a bit of momentum to the series. |

Here's hoping 'RAM' breaks the mould; seems there's little precedent for extended commitment from ME-backed efforts. Quote:

I wonder why Bruce chose OAK instead of Oreca. There's a weak link in every chain. And it's just a matter of time before this one snaps.

Im glad he did choose an OAK , too many Oreca's out there but , I would put my faith in an Oreca package before an OAK .

I wonder if the RAM Ferraris are the ex-Luxury cars?
As for Morand choosing the OAK chassis, I heard some teams were complaining of the reliability of the Oreca last year. (Not that the OAK ummm Morgan was much better IMO) |

The RAM cars are all new - albeit they will now have to be converted back to 2012 spec!

Thanks Graham, any word if the Luxury cars have landed elsewhere for action next year? Will Michelotto supply 458's new in year old spec or do the teams do it after they acquire them and sell off the 2013 spec parts?

Hmm, missed that one then. And don´t understand either, will there be no GTE-Pro category in ELMS then next year?

Ok. Didn´t the entry window for ELMS just open - until mid January next year? How can one already conclude there won´t be enough cars in a category?
And didn´t the WEC have 4 GTE-Pro entries for the last, what 4 races or so last year... |

Much better than what I would have expected - now if the LMP2 field stays somewhere close to where it was last year, this just might work out. Add a handfull of PCs and GT3s and it's actually quite decent. And further proof that the whole GTE-Am idea is total rubbish... |

Well, four GTE-Pro would actually have been an improvement over last year. The ELMS field at Paul Ricard in 2012 (and it was all down hill from there):
3 GTE-Pro: JMB Racing, JWM Motorsport, and Kessel Racing each with a Ferrari 458 Italia 5 GTE-Am: Prospeed Competition (Porsche 997), IMSA Performance Matmut (Porsche 997), JMB Racing (Ferrari 458), Gulf Racing (Aston Martin Vantage), AF Course (Ferrari 458) So, if there are 8 GTE-Am prospects for 2013, the total GTE field size would be the same as compared to the beginning of 2012. |

Will this affect JMW´s decision (and switch to WEC or GT Open?) or are they expected to join the GTE (Am) category?
