911 GT1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I have arrived last night and I am now at the track. Impressive i must say. The track is totaly different to everything I have seen before. I can´t say if it´s good or bad. Maybe "strange" is the right word. In the first half hour of the free prctice the GT2 cars were fastest

That's very odd - the entire GT2 pack is intermixed with the GT1 drivers. Was there no weather variation between the GT2 & GT1 sessions?

They drove all in the same session, so no differences in weather for all cars.

Weather / Track : Cloudy / Damp

i think if the session was dry then the gt1 cars would be faster than the gt2

Wonder what happened...
Session stopped for a while now while the clock keeps on ticking.

Track is damp/dry...top 9 is GT1 again.

Interesting race, for all that.
Good to see the Ford GT on the podium.

Next up FIA GT qualifying. Hopefully the track stays dry and there are no more stray dogs!

British Grand Prix at Silverstone 2003? Oh wait, you said dog But you got to admit that he had a good pace. Stray dogs are one thing, but I saw people coming at the track with their pet dogs too and noone stopped them. Oh dear.

i see from the qualy results that porsche nr66 and 69 have had there times disallowed but i cant find why. this is a shame in my opinion as the marc lieb porsche was fast and i think had a good chance of a great finish. but this allows the tech 9 car to move up a place which is good for us british fans

I'm a bit uncomfortable with this track, having read the horror stories on DSC it's all looking a bit mickey-mouse.

The fact that Ben Collins has been badly injured because the marshalls were taking pictures of a broken down Lambo instead of waving the oil flag for the slick it had left is frankly criminal.

Did anyone in the UK watch the qualifying sessions on men and motors this afternoon? If so, what did people make of the picture? I don't mean the quality (that was superb!) but the aspect ratio. Is it me or did the cars look somewhat shorter and taller. Maybe it was just my eyes but I also noticed that on the Silverstone pictures. I watched that race straight after coming back from the circuit and the cars didn't 'look' right in terms of proportions, the funny thing is, it looked fine in the first half of the broadcast then after an advert break it looked like someone had changed the aspect ratio!

I wondered where the marshals would come from-think I saw some ADAC badges.. Locals would have to be over 90 years old to have had previous experience of circuit racing?

You are right. Probably they did only coverage of practice and pre-race.
