[QUOTE=HProject;3335079]Did somebody say....pics...?
Had a dog of a time with my main camera. It was fine for pit-lane stuff, but it kept dilly-dallying when it came to the on-track stuff. On the Sunday afternoon, it just decided to screen an error message and shut down - much to my 'delight'. A friend then suggested I remove the third-party battery grip I purchased for it a few months ago... And as soon as I did it started to work faultlessly. Gaaaah. Anyway. Great Pix thank you. Can you tell me a bit about this one please? Last edited by KRDG; 26 Nov 2013 at 06:37. Reason: spelling |

It seems a bit silly to have this and then ST's within a couple of weeks of each other, with a lot of similarities between the supports. Must impact crowds for both events you would have thought.
I wonder if there is a way in the future that they could combine? |

Hey Racetroll - perhaps you should post the RRW promo video link on here?
Audio volume is a bit low for my laptop, but I got the gist of it! Neat. |

Slightly left of field, but we had fun with it. Massive thanks to Racing Ray Williams for being such a good sport. (No, the jacket isn't his, but it does belong to our Accident Investigator) |

Thanks Socram. The IRC and our two invitation classes (Central Muscle Cars and Production/Northern Muscle Cars) have done us proud. Really looking forward to the weekend and I can honestly say our spectators will be getting plenty of bang for their buck. |

Over to you Nigel... (if you are reading this)
If the current sponsors in some of the less well supported classes put up their money as meeting sponsors (or individual grid sponsors) instead, we might well be able to see some decent racing on TV and then the crowds would improve. They will never get back to the 1970s levels but if the TV works and gets good support, advertisers will be happy. You don't need vast crowds at a race meeting to make a profit. You need a large (paying) driver entry. Crowd income is just the icing on the cake. Well done to all concerned as a 227 driver listing is brilliant. |

Exactly - we are running a meeting at Hampton Downs on 14 December and to date there are 92 entries just for the 2KCup grid(s) and then there are the Alfa grids, Ray's ERC grids and Classic Trials - seems that motorsport in NZ is strong at the levels below the so-called premier classes.

A huge weekend for motorsport in Auckland area. Anyone know how many spectators attended TITP on Saturday?
Motorbikes 1st round at Hampton Downs, Drift Shifters in the city, Speedway at Western Springs. What a weekend, couldn't get to it all, had to prioritise and choose. |
