Racing was good. Lots of passing and hard driving.

Apparently its just all the negativity around the series that stops people from posting here. Spare me....

The pit lane exit at Tassie is a bit of a joke, needs to be changed. Good on the boys for managing it so well, saw a few go out in the dirt to avoid contact

A good race with plenty of interest...
Brighty and Slade looked great in the latter stages. They took the chance to run long and gamble on the safety car not being called and it worked for them. JDub looked a little non-plussed all day. I thought having SVG on board would fire him up but he appears as if he knows Shane is going to beat him... Great drive Willy D and good to see a big smile on Jonno Webb's face despite the disappointment of losing Mr Hallam. I love how drivers can try an undercut at the hairpin and then drag race on the outside all the way to turn 6. As Skaifey says "Great racing"... Can anyone understand Ludo on the radio? And Rihana needs some Strepsils! |

What happened to Lowndes, the car sounded like a chaff cutter?
Likewise what happened to Scotty in the Volvo? Nice work from Brighty, seemed to be on a charge. Likewise Rick Kelly put in a good drive, pity he missed out on a podium. |

Question!
What is the black second gear stick between the gearstick and CL left leg, he moved it a few times yesterday after changing gears, and he still had both his swaybar bars on the other side of his gear stick? |

Its the Brake Bias adjuster unique to 888 cars. Its a lever as opposed to turning a knob. |

Scotty's Volvo broke a butterfly valve in one of the intake trumpets just as the cars were gridding up. |

Watching yesterday's highlights on the telly, didn't realise Tekno help Caltex 888 with their pitstops so they must share a pit boom which I've never noticed before. Explains the pitboard being waved in pit lane that had Caltex and Tekno on the back of it.

Another cracker race.
Thought SvG had it in the bag. They took forever to bring the oil flag out, pretty much right as SvG got there. |

On another note, the 10 highlights went a bit weird in the middle of the race and we got several laps twice but then didn't get any of the pitstops which made it a bit hard to work out who was who in the zoo there for a little while - one of the perils of highlights packages. Looked like a cracking race - two good ones in two days, good news. |

Good weekend of racing. The layout of Symmons Plains lends itself to good racing. The commentators made a big deal of having 5 different winners for the first 5 races, did not mention that all winners were driving Holdens.
Hate the double stacking in the pits. If they closed the pit lane during safety car periods, this could alleviate the problem and force all competitors to make green flag stops. |

What a top race,
Good to see the safety car not deployed after the Blanchard incident or the hairpin car park. Frosty seemed to like giving SVG a few love taps, must be taking his Blackmores Aggresive tablets! |
