driftwood has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
i dont believe it did race but it was tested had input from Graham Humphries the Spice designer and used Leyton Hiouse f1 gearbox

it did a little more than test- Historic racer Robs Lamplough bought the completed car in '93 and entered it for Le Mans, although it didn't get any further than running at the test weekend. It did however appear in an IMSA race at Laguna late-season

Great article KA that car really still looks modern and looks very similar to the current crop of closed prototypes in fact it wouldn't look out of place on a ALMS grid.

When I was in usa at historic race at Road america in July the allard was there.

not sure if it ran but looked good.

a few years back there was a lola running out there but that has no been sold and is in england.

do u mean the lola 92 sports car?
3 where built
2 where euroracing Zwolsman cars that ende dup in usa 1 was never sold in period then robbie stirling bought it to do Intersereis races with circa 94 all had judd v10 engines

The problem was that the rules had come in at a time when we had a bad recession as a result of Gulf War 1 in 1991 the one which started from the 1990 illegal invasion of Iraq by Kuwait which led to teams pulling out and some like Nissan were planning to come in for 1993 only for the Championship to be cancelled at the end of 92

I think Bernie had a hand in ending the series. Didn’t he make it so that an Engine that was defunct in F1 go to that series and as result that put manufacturers off?
