Looks like the Aston Martin needed a splash and dash.

Aston pitted twice in the last 10 minutes, what went wrong?
Looks like Pescarolo takes Race 1. OAK, JLOC, and #77 Felbermayr as well. |

Race report from the AsLMS offers some insight. For one, Live Timing & Scoring completely failed. The BMW which stopped being scored at lap 47? It actually won GT2!
Also, the Aston Martin's second stop after the splash and dash was to replace a louvre. And the Saleen never made it to the garage, it ended the race in a gravel trap. |

From what I've heard, that chassis was never going to work and the owners (JLOC, not the team they had hired to run it who were expecting decent machinery) knew it.

Just saw the highlights on Eurosport and I have to say it was a pretty entertaining race 1, shame about the Aston and its body work issues but hopefully AMR will get 3 entries for Le Mans next year anyway. Nice too to see BMW winning in GT2, really close fight at the end between Milner and Lieb. Looking forward to seeing race 2 now!

J Sports ESPN is covering the Sunday race live (Sat. night US Eastern time). Anyone have any idea where to get a stream?

I notice in a lot of interviews with the Japanese teams (Nova, JLOC, Daishin) two things that they all have in common:
* They all think there will be a 4-race schedule for 2010. * They all aren't happy with Super GT. |

Race 2 underway, looks like the Forme 996 and the Tokai LMP1 did not take the start.
And the looks like the Saleen is having problems again. Last edited by The359; 1 Nov 2009 at 00:11. |

Hooray! Even though it's Japanese commentary, it's better than nothing!
Looks like the #77 Felbermayr lost drive. |

is live timing messed up again?? it's showing Dominik in first in GT2 and the Ford some 5+ seconds behind in class (with the slowest lap times).....that seems correct moreso than that ford leading! Went to the Justin link and yesssss congrats to Dominik for the GT2 win and LeMans invite....yeah another Ferrari at the 24h.

Congrats to Drayson Racing with an amazing drive to P4! Setting fast lap in both races is an impressive stunt.
