micky rason should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
hi guys
sorry to go a bit off topic but someone may be able to help. i am trying to find someone who has the results sheet for the First "Fastest mini in the world race" at silverstone in 1994. I did have a mobile for Bill Sollis who was another class (and race) winner but no more, so if anyone can help or ask Bill for me i would be very greatfull.
Also if i can find an engine and box i might be able to do the 2010 race

Sad to say Harvey had a shunt testing it at Silverstone. He was hoping to get it repaired in time, but it looks unlikely. However, Endaf Owens is bringing his 250BHP turbocharged monster, and don't under estimate the likes of Gerald Dale, Nick Swift and Ken Welch. One thing is for sure, there should be some great racing on the tight confines of Lydden, where you can see nearly all the action. Once I know the TV broadcast dates/times I will let everyone know.

Hey Jules that would be great if you have. i can remember Chris Judge up my A*se for most of the race till he sneaked past me on his bloody slicks when i let leaders Bill, Pete and Martin past. Thanks go to Mini World for publishing a nice pic of that precise moment in their report
Quick point of interest to anyone whos enterd a F M in the W race in the past, in the first one a guy called Rik Boon towed his MK2 "S" to the circuit with a mini pick up...from Holland, only to be told he was not allowed to race! now thats what i call a bummer!

it will be interesting to see how Endaf gets on in my car, as he's only ever driven it once before.

Thats right, the yellow road legal one. although it's not nice on the road. this converision was the first one done with a turbo. I did this myself before the kits where available. fingers crossed it holds together. Although we'll not be running full boost on the weekend

Is that Kent based Chris Judge? Just wondering as know someone of the same name that currently has a mini [but don't think this one is rollcaged etc] uses it for autotests and the like [as well as sprinting a racing a Jedi Mk4] so wondered.

Well we've just had the practice times in for both Mini Groups and currently Bill Richard is leading the times, closely followed by Richard Casey only 1 tenth behind...looks like there is going to be some excellent racing.

Thanks to Rob Morris and Rod Birley for creating a very special weekend at Lydden. Certainly one of the best ever.
