hey yorkie how much does that car cost
No doubt v8s are very fast but for the amount of money you have to pay for them. hehe for half the price theres a rotary. V8s are quick cars and yousto love them but oncei bought a rotary and got my car to go so fast with next to no money im with the rotar |

In regards to rotary reliability, I am on my second rx-7 (One with a 12a and one with a 13b) and haven't had a single problem with the engine in either. A lot of the people who say they are so problematic havn't owned one. They have the advantage that they are small and light and can be placed low and towards the centre of the car. To say "In stock form the Supra can eat the RX7 alive almost everywhere except on tight twisty tracks" ignores the positive impacts having a rotary has on handling.

Too touchy rx72c! Let's keep the fun in this. Perhaps you should consider the point David is making!

Maybe we need to go back and look at the original question. Now that we have done that maybe people need to realize that their opinions are not facts, they are opinions. If you get offended because someone does not agree with you then message boards are not your place. Here we discuss (preferably using proper discourse) our opinions and attempt to back them up with facts. Either way this is supposed to be entertainment, not judgment or crucifixion. In all honesty there are a few 4 cylinders that I have seen do better in n/a form than 13b's. The F20c is a perfect example. The M3's straignt six is another example of a better motor. Well, being a petrol head, I love them all, 4 cylinder, V6,V8,V12 straight 6, V12, rotary, whatever. Some are better in their particular configuration than others. Stacy Vickers is putting it over all of them, whatever capacity in his RX7 in the Classic Group One Touring Car Championship (He won again yesterday at Silverstone) and the car sounds superb but I'd probably prefer a V8 if the choice was solely between the two choices, but if it came down to any choice, I'd probably go for a straight 6. However, since sound has been mentioned, surely the most glorious sound, from a road car, anyway, must be from the straight 8 engines made by Alfa, Maserati and others, before the war. Sorry, Neilap, I've moved away from the specific choice, but then I note you have also mentioned a straight 6 from the BMW M3; indeed a great engine!
