Might be separate operations, but thats not to say there isnt a thread of common equity....

I think the new HSV Racing Team will work fine out of Dandenong with Dencar(100%)support.

Interesting - TWR going down has opened a can of worms.
July 1 always a good time of year. |

A little OT, how is PWR's relationship with their sponsor HSV, considering PWR Performance is a potential competitor?

PWR is a technical supplier to HSV, braking technology thru Alcon, and the radiator products....

So HSV has no problems with them producing body kits and selling 'complete' cars and the like? (this isn't a sh!t stir, just interested)

Well I presume HSV have the same level of problem with CSV too, or HDT, or any number of other Holden hot up shops....
In the latest Wheels, David Flint didtn seem to care too much that DJR is producing the 320kW Falcons in competition to their own.... |

GTR,
Apparently David Flint is okay with the DJR deal because it doesn't present any direct competition (price wise) to any of the FPV products. And as far as CSV or HDT is concerned, HSV doesn't sponsor any racing cars entered by those businesses, unlike PWR. |

To get technical, the HSV branding is the way Holden Motor Sport brings funds to each of its contracted teams. Even Tasman has an HSV logo on it... so while it is an HSV brand, it is an extension of the HMS technical support...
... or so I have been led to believe... |

Don't sound so open-ended, GTR. What do you truly believe??

I havent formed a full picture... it doesnt currently make sense in the information that has found its way into the public in piecemeal form...
Its easy to say the 'official' tag falls off HRT and moves to PWR, but I doubt its anything like that.... |

It's my opinion that Holden still want 3 seperate Factory teams(6 cars) fighting for the Championship. They tried it last year and got in trouble. Their current situation is still being scrutinized and I believe causing quite an amount of stress. I'm told that documents were sought and team members questioned only a matter of weeks ago.
What might happen? HRT stays HRT, sponsored by Holden, in Clayton. PWR becomes HSVR, sponsored by HSV, in Dandenong. KMR or Tasman become the 3rd team. Sponsor-who knows? Maybe GMAC Finance. I know all this is rumour and heresay but 1 thing I can say is that something is happen'n out Clayton way Last edited by Anthony Taylor; 24 Apr 2004 at 09:23. |

Just a thought. Wouldn't it be nice to have 3 Factory backed teams.
Holden Racing Team. HSV Racing Team. Holden Dealer Team. Last edited by Anthony Taylor; 24 Apr 2004 at 09:38. |
