[LM24] The Le Mans 2008 Ten tenths meeting thread

b) 13th, 1991 as a speccy, continuous since 97 as marshal, but no chance of the 10ths meeting

However, if I do make it to the speccy zones at any point, I promise to be wearing my all new blindingly white 10ths polo

This will be my 9th LM, every year from 1999 except last year's (At least I missed the weather...)

Yes, attending this year. Camping in Houx (with an orange Elise and a silver Pug 307) and seated in the ACO stand.

Have attended each year since '97, so this will be the 12th trip (plus a couple of Classics and PQ weekends also).

Will be visit number 2 after last year - rain and miserable drive back to Belgium on Sunday night did nothing to dull enthusiasm. Camping at Tertre Rouge and sitting in T34 this time round.

Hello all!

Just joined today and couldn't think of a more appropriate thread for my first post! Absolutely definitely going this year, my first time was 1982 (sneaky clue in username!) with a big gap between '88 and '03 though I've been every year since with my son Daniel, so that makes this year my 12th and Dan's 6th.
I'm also a member on www.306gti6.com and will be convoying down on Thursday, two 6's, eight petrolheads, five of whom are first timers! :lol We're camped in Bleu Sud and will certainly try and get to see some of you guys there, come on Peugeot!

Thanks very much for the welcome, definitely will try and make it to the meeting. Got to say that this year looks to be an absolute corker, Peugeot vs. Audi, Porsche Spyders, gorgeous LMP coupe's, more Covette vs. Aston....even a Group C support race to put the cherry on top!

Certainly would love a 908, it's the only Peugeot in the current range that doen't look like it was styled by a drunken sailor!
Certainly is brilliant going down there with Dan, first year we went together was in a '63 MGB roadster, roof down all the way! He turned 18 in April so he's also now legal to join in the

First year was 1985 and only missed 2 since, seen every race after 1989. So this year must be 22

As usual camping Tertre rouge from Wednesday looking forward to seeing you all again on saturday and romour has it some cars will be driving around the track to celebrate this years ten-tenths meeting.

Not sure how many times, I think 27, starting far back in 1978 but missed the 2 New Man Porsche and 1 Pug win since.

A few years back I got a text from my sister who had just given birth to my nephew, I replied asking her to pass the message on to her other half "The Audi's are still leading." There was no mention in my message about the new arrival... but in a few years I suspect he will get his first Le Mans.

For me the TT meet up is an essential part of Le Mans - long may it continue!
