That would be Taylor's car. He got it without engine or gearbox and put in the very early (P101?) V12 from his Cooper-BRM and used a Hewland box.

The last timed I saw Kim Mather racing was at Donington in a four wheel drive Alfa.
He was a hero of mine.

I've started a new thread in Motorsport History entitled Motor Racing in the 70's. I think W. Booth's Shadow is in a photo on there.

Andrew, where are you based? Where and when did you buy the car? Who from?

Ossy, I've started a new thread in Motor Racing in the 70's. Any idea what the blue single seater I've uploaded is? (page 3)

I can shed some light on your chassis but maybe not in the way you would like! The number you have - with an RF prefix - is the frame number not the chassis number. It indicates that this frame was built by Racing Frames based in Ware but it is NOT the actual chassis number.
We have a B18 in our own collection (actually for sale) and can supply bit for your car as we have the drawings, jigs, moulds etc.

get in touch direct if we can help.

Frame Numbers

Tim, I also have a B-18 from Racing Frames, RF B18 71 5

Any info you have on the original owner would be helpful

thanks Paul

Chevron B18 radiator Specs

Hello, I am a new member of this forum and have just purchased a Chevron B18 project car here in the United States. The project did not include a radiator and I wondered if any members of the Chevron Forum could supply specs for this piece such as height, width, length, number of cooling rows etc? Did the radiator come with an intergal oil cooler? Could anyone provide a picture of this piece? Appreciate any information and insight and thanks, Jerry

Bayard Car

Chris

In your list you attribute a car to Herve Bayard. Do you have evidence that he actually had a car of his own in 1971 ? I know he raced twice in F2 but this could have been the Frey car, which is indeed what Autosport implies in its report on Rouen 27/6/71.

Bayard was primarily a hill-climber and my limited 1971 info does not show any occaision when he ran a Chevron in 71, rather he has a Tecno.

He ran it at Côte de Tancarville 14 Jul 1971. We've discussed this in another place much more recently than Chris's post here.
