Race Result
Pato O'Ward makes IndyCar racing history, with the first win with the IndyCar hybrid engine. That was an excellent drive from Toby Sowery, making his IndyCar debut to finish 13th. Also a good performance from Scotty Mac, getting the 3rd podium place. Overall a good race but I didn't think it was the most compelling race to begin with, but as the strategies unfolded it came alive, especially the last 15 laps after Pato O'Ward made the undercut on Alex Palou and then held out for the win. The race was helped by being caution free, except for the start, when former 6 time Mid-Ohio winner Scott Dixon suddenly stopped on the track during the parade lap, with the race then starting under caution. |

First time visitor to Mid Ohio; last saw IndyCar in 2017.
Photos of the weekend will follow but for the race watched from the grandstand. Hot for us Brits ! Enjoyed the race and the track. |
