Yeah but in fairness to them both, the Jags are on Michelin and that seems to be the difference here. So it is clear that the Ferraris are the class of the B'stone runners. But if it carries on like this do you see Jaguar impriving? Early days I know.

Yup its the Bridgestones rearing their ugly head again. Are you sure that Jacques had mechanical problems leading to the spin. Looked to me like he simply lost it (again).

If you're referring to my one word post it crossed with two others. I was thinking of Kiesa.

Attila should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
People just will not accept how good Fireman is :-))), he won every single formula he has raced in, I think that alone should qualify him into F1. I think he is very very underrated.

Great job for Justin even better than I thought. I hope he can keep cool for tomorrow and won't overdrive it. Even if he does he proved that he is fast, from now on its only a mindgame.

Cheers,

At the start of the year Firman was all over the place but as the season has progressed he's improved - rookie drivers need track time to adjust to F1 (Hello Jaguar!). I think givn the state of this years Jordan he's done as good a job as can be expected.

Bad luck for Kiesa on his debut, but at least he got reasonable running in the morning.

The top 7 are lucky to be on Mcihaelins, as I don't think anyone other than Williams could've beaten the Ferraris.

Fisichella seems off form right now, hjust lacking motivation I guess.

Good one form Wilson, getitng within 4/10ths on his first Jaguar drive

Firman has been smoothing his act out for several races now, whereas Pizzonia already had a large number of F1 miles and still wasn't making the grade. I don't think we need to worry about Wilson though - it's just obvious that he knows what he's doing.

Lacking motivation's not gonna get Fisi a top drive if he keeps on like this!!

At first glamce i thought 'oh the macs are runnung heavy again' but soon realized....lol
Then again,it's not a big disadvantage to be down the grid for Q2.
Wow-good to see ferari down the grid-not because i whish them to be slow(well..ok i really do,LOL)but it's great to see that the tyre battle will swing so much!

 why not?

It is great that North Americans can see it. It is a shame that a lot of us Europeans can't.

Better they can see it and tell us about it than no one.

Oh, and, bring back digital!

Crappy Bridgestones on light fuel plus dirty track is Michael's explanation. Kimi was also very slow, and he was also out early, so maybe it was the track...

It was the track? balls!

They have just ran 2 or more practice sessions, I doubt that 1 or 2 cars is going to make much difference to the track conditions.

Maybe Ferrari should 'improve' by taking Wilson on TGF's place... Or maybe Schumi just need to keep his girlish face shut.

Let's not get carried awa.......... On second thoughts YEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW *ahem* well done to the Jags and also to the Williams boys. Justin is the star of the day no doubt. If ever there were a case for employing talent above money, he has got to be it.

Measured against Mark, nobody (except High C) could say that Wilson hasn't met all expectations so far. Indeed unlike Nicolas he had no seat time before the morning test.

With Button trying his best and Ralph F getting his act together, things look good for British talent at the mo.

So the two "team rookies" deserve praise today.
