That's not a bad entry so far, certainly better than we seen for a few years. Tho who's not on that list that we have seen?

Just need common sense with the 2wd cars. There's enough machines out there for 20 supernational +1600 types and 25 national -1600 types. Politics and silly classes get in the way. If you had 15 supercars, 45 2wd cars (in just 2 classes), 8 juniors and 15 retros that would be a fantastic event. 11 races of 8 per heat, 3 heats and finals -probably about 45+ races of full grids. The heats and finals format only works when you have variety in the heats. Otherwise the finals lose all sense of intrigue and suspense. Broader fields and fewer classes provide that variety. It's so simple it's painful. |

Unfortunately after a very positive 2019 season (especially the final events at Croft), I can confirm that due to my ever increasing work commitments, I wont be fighting for either the British or BTRDA rallycross championships this year.
I am aiming to make the odd appearance much later in the year, as a "one off", but i wont be a regular on the grid in 2020. For those that know me on a more personal level, I don't think this will be a surprise, due to the amount of time spent travel across europe and beyond that I do these days on business. Speaking purely as a fan of the sport, I am however glad to see both championships appear to be showing strong fields for 2020, with returning drivers and people moving up the classes this season. Best of luck to both the championship organisers and drivers for 2020 |

Good to read that Emery is coming back, as brilliant as all the Supercars are, the other classes need attention as well. |

Reckon we’ll see a few more Irish and Belgium drivers than normal this year what will be great.

Fingers crossed we get some events in at some point - I can see the Easter meeting at Lydden being cancelled or postponed. Maybe move it towards the end of the year and extend the season that way.

Yeah agreed. John Cross mentioned today that it’s not looking good for BRX championship at the moment , something to did with events that need paramedics in attendance.

That's going to be a problem for any large event - lots of them are covered by volunteer medical staff - all of whom will be doing lots of overtime at their proper jobs.

I agree the season is looking very promising this year, but I can't see the opening round happening on time. I intend to do both days, but I am holding fire booking anywhere local until a bit nearer the time.

Whilst the season looks promising (virus threat aside) I still don't think it warrants a 2 day meeting - are there really going to be enough entries to justify that?

I believe the Supercars are running four heats as well? (Not sure about the other classes). |

Seems optimistic - there are 10 confirmed so far, add in 5 more (possible?) maybe four heats for heat one but given the reliability of supercars there won't be four heats by Q3. |

Yeah, it is all well and good running multiple classes, but they need to have enough entries to fill them all...
...Supercar and Super National look OK so far, plus there seems to be a regular contingent of Juniors. The rest remain to be seen; I can't see there being a huge number in the Retro 4WD class and the truck rallycross still seems a big unknown. Sorry, poor wording on my part there. I believe there will be four sets of qualifying heats for Supercars; i.e. Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4. |

The event is also listed as a Belgian Championship event so providing they can travel there will be enough entries im sure!!!
