Not that quick, to be honest. He took a podium in the storm at Kyalami and not much else.
These Audi DSG (about 20, if I'm not wrong) are owned by Adria Raceway. The TCR DSG Championship and the Academy Endurance Championship are not to be held, so all-in with the TCR Italy. |

Did they cancel the Academy Endurance Championship?
Curious to see how the DSG cars BoP will play. |

On their website the calendar has disappeared. I think that Adria Raceway decided to focus on the TCR Italy alongside Pit Lane Competizioni.
The Italian BoP follows the international one, with +30 +20 +10 kg of success ballast assigned to the best three drivers of the weekend. Starting from this year, there will be only one qualifying session and race 2 grid will be based on race 1 classification, with the first 8 reversed. |

Daniele Cappellari posted on Facebook his new VW Golf. I think he will race in TCR Italy and maybe also in TCR Europe.

How much entries are there with a DSG car? I might be mistaken, but it seems they represent the majority of the field

I counted 10 DSG cars: Benninger, Gross, Altoè, Dionisio, Thellung, Bergonzini, Barberini/Chini, Papi/Volpato, Gagliano and Savoia. Also Cappellari's VW has a DSG gearbox.

Another great name: Andrea Larini will drive the same Cupra which won the title with Baldan last year.
Pit Lane Competizioni will run three different manufacturers and four different cars including SEQ/DSG Audis. Not bad. |

Some pretty amateurish driving at Imola. I don't want this to be another safety car fest like Germany.
Race 2 appeared to have started behind the safety car for no other reason than that there were a few damp patches on the track. Two wins for the Alfa though, which was nice. |

More cars, more chance to have accidents. Nothing strange.
Race 2 started behind SC because it rained minutes before. Exaggerated decision, but there's always a lot of caution in Imola. It seems they remained in 1994. Ferrara is still an high-level driver. I think it has been about 10 years since an Alfa won in the ITCC. Hyundais had problems, mostly with Scalvini but also Baldan ruined his weekend with the poor race 1 start. Good to see Andrea Larini back also, a good driver. Bettera surprised me, I know he was good, having seen him at Monza two years ago battling with Pellinen, but I didn't think he was this fast. Overall I'm satisfied, I hope there will be better races but right now I'm too happy to see 26-27 cars on the Italian grid to be angry for the bad show. |

We know for sure that the Tipo TCR exists now it's up to Tecnodom to bring it on the track.

Start behind SC in race 2 was ridiculous.
But the grid looks good. |

I don't know the English version of "campa cavallo, che l'erba cresce".
But if the quite good Giulietta TCR has never got considered at all, and it will never be considered at all, we can't expect the Tipo TCR to be considered by FIAT. They have zero interest in motorsport, apart from Ferrari (maybe). |
