Sod it, my daughter has just reminded me it is my Grandson's 2 birthday celebration on the 19th and they have booked my house (lovely, all those screaming kids, know where I would rather be) so thats me out, shame I was warming to the idea.

I'm planning to do the TRC round on the GP circuit in April provided the entry fee is as promised, still awaiting SR's. So I may see you there Eddy.

I see the Sports and GT race is over subscribed. Looks like I may not get a race after all.

Note to self: remember booking another channel crossing. Are you entered Tim? Would be nice to see the car running. |

Eddy, I did fax the entry last night, I phoned today to see if he could read it but there seems to be a problem as he said it was a bit faint. I have posted it today so don't know if I have a place. I will ring tomorrow and find out.

Full grids and a fiver! Now we are being spoilt!

All the grids will be full with the exception of the single seater race, but that is fairley well supported from what I can understand. Dont worry Steve,if I can get to Tesco in time, the doughnuts are on me.

Here you go then, this proves what I have been banging on about for years and I don't give a damn what the organising clubs say about the entry fee 'only' being the price of a tyre and that is not the reason for falling grids blah, blah blah. The bottom line is is give us a deal and you will fill the grids even if almost still in the winter, end of story.
Now lets hope MSV see the potential here and this thing takes of, you never know there may be some really good racing to be seen (I am convinced there will) and you also never know people may actually start coming through the gates again prepared to part with a bit of cash to be entertained and low and behold dare I say that MSV may even make a good return on this generous gesture and as importantantly it appears we have the marshalls on board as well. This is the way forward IMHO and as far as I am concerned £170 to £190 for a 15 minute clubbie race as currently being asked is too damned much, this is more like it and I wish I was going! Maybe we should start a new thread on this subject 'Would you race more if entry fees were far lower?' |

Al, you have mentioned the key word there 'entertainment'. JP himself said to me last week that we are in the entertainment business as indeed we are. He is very excited about MSVR and I can only hope that he continues with the lower cost of racing at his meetings. After all, you want value for money, as marshals (and spectators( we want to see full grids. With full grids comes a greater chance of closer racing etc etc etc.
Bullish? You bet I am . |

I just got the final instructions, I should get at least 4th or 5th in class. There seems to be a USAF bomber there as well, what's a Stealth B6?

Is that David Krayem's car? That's the ex-Bob Light Combe GT race winner. Awesome machine. First pic on here:

If its anything like the Steath GT in the ads of Motorsport this month I would place you well behind that falcemob. 6.5 all alloy Chevy motor with 500bhp mid engined 0 to 60 in 3.6 seconds oh thats for the road version! Thats the one Ian!
