In my above text , I did mention the drivers . Its not the fault of the drivers that the car is illegal .
Bramzel ..... what do you think about the BMW affair a few years back in the Alms then ? It just annoy's me that everybody is raving about a car that is illegal . If thats the case , why not race a Ferrari 333SP in a Gt championship and then say that "undeserved championships dont exist" . Dont forget that Gardel could at least hold his own otherwise he wouldnt be in the position that he is in . The car is illegal ..... or am I wrong ? If everybody else can build a legal car , why cant Maseratti ? |

The car is legal, as FIA allowed it in and it was restricted for it's errors. If it should have been legal is another discussion (where I'll probably agree on you), but lets not start that one for the 73964389760508437th time.

There is nothing fixed until now. Maybe after the championship ceremony this evening?

Hello
This year's FIA GT Championship has been really exciting and should have had a great ending. IMO I can't help thinking that Labre threw it all away by not having enough fuel in at the finish. It was a gamble they took and it all went pear shaped. They should put their hands up to it. I'm not a great fan of the Maserati's BUT they were legal for the FIA GT Championship and they did acquire some hefty penalty ballast for the last three races. I actually admire Michael Bartels for what he has done. If Lamy had not been driving for the Labre Ferrari would they had been in with a shout anyway?? At the end of the day this is not the first time that a championship has ended up this way and no doubt it won't be the last. Roll on next year. Would be nice to see a Lotus in GT2. I just hope we get some decent TV coverage. Nick |
