What a mess.

Aston lost it and hit the guardrail, everyon got past until the P2 got on the binders a little late and smacked it.

Major rebuild for the Aston. The P2 will have the front stripped down and replaced, be checked for frame damage. A long night for those crews, get the coffee ready...

I'm not putting blame on anyone as it looks like the 'vette was coming in a little hot too but just not a good place to be broadside (obviously) and just an ugly incident. Sux for both teams.

Another angle shows another group of marshalls on the other side of the track so IDK. Tough deal, but seems avoidable...

As per 2020 WEC flagging rules no automatic back up yellow for double waved ones. Back up only by race control order. This might have changed since then or be different for LM/certain sections but my 2023 Sebring flagging info is no longer accessible.

Also, on track incidents require double waved yellow flags - only one was initially displayed which could have caused additional delay in having a race control ordered back up yellow displayed at the preceding MP (if at all). We saw the opposite flag position at the incident bringing out their second yellow flag right as the T-bone is about to commence but no view/info about the MP directly upstream.

N.B. certainly not claiming the accident wouldn't have happened either way, just providing some insights. And it won't change a dime anyway!

that look at the 777, that left shock mount is completely shot. I don't see that being fixed in time.

TF Sport will switch to a replacement chassis. The only question is if they need to go back to the UK to collect it.
