I hope DC does go to BAR, he has the ability to keep bringing the car on, and it will be pretty exciting if he starts beating Button in the Williams.. It really is BAR's best bet I think.

And I'm no DC fan!

Standard response coming up here (just substituted drive and teams names):

BAR want to get second in the championship and, I'm sure, still want Jenson to score their first win. It'll only be next year's bits that Jenson misses out on.

And, equally, I'm sure he'll continue to try his best with them and won't think twice about battling with a Williams for a place.

I wonder what Webber really thinks..He'll obviously play the team line and be supportive, but in everyones minds he will be the de-facto number 2 driver. It'll be even worse for him if Button hammers him next year.

One way or another 2 reputations are going to be shaken next year; Button, Webber, Kimi or JPM.

I can't wait.. I'd have enough of this year already, roll on 2005!

Not in my mind. And more importantly, not in Williams', Webber's or Button's mind.

The empty seat at Williams was always going to be filled by a competent driver. The situation will be hardly any different to the previous years at Williams. There drivers will still be able to take points of each other.

I wonder if Jenson will be allowed to test for Williams before Jan '01 (although it is less of an issue nowadays with the winter testing ban). Often we see sponsors from the old team reluctant to see an early change in overalls...

What a gamble!!!!

But stranger things have happened, good luck to JB and lets see AD in his seat as no matter how much I want DC to do it (and I do), I reckon AD will REALLY shine if given the chance......... come on DR you know it makes sense!!!

Ps. If I was Webber I'd be looking for the get out clause
