Surely the Genie was made by Gilbern, not Ginetta?

As noted in the 1st. post, at 87 you are allowed a few Senior Moments.
Anyway; Where? Who? What? When? Why? |

Bob, Gilbert the Gilbern is not a Genie, that was the later model with sharper squarer styling that looked like Michellotti could have designed it.. It's an 1800GT.

Quite David, & the Genie ultimately grew into the Invader which in turn spawned an Estate, a rival to the Scimitar GTE.
They are all very nice cars - I know, as a friend of mine has the full set, including a GT. To continue Gilbern history, at the time the company expired there was an uncompleted prototype for a new model looking not unlike the Piper. It was bought by someone from Arras & after completion he brought it to the Arras Classic Show for his first-ever trip outside Great Britain! |

I was not on the "spirit" line as I thought the Riley was a Lynx!

All this grousing and nitpicking is just sour grapes, attempts to justify, a complete lack of perception, imagination, deductive powers, and general bewilderment.
Water of a ducks back, Not a Gene, Lynx, Stutz, for goodness sake get a grip, I refuse to accept any blame. So Yah, Boo, Sucks to the lot of you. Minister for Quiz setting. PS: I'll try and do better in the future |

Unfortunately many take the images too literally. Would I be expected to have an intimate knowledge of some rather obscure moor car? But everything is easy when you are setting the quiz - well you think it is. Still the latest posting does not put a name to any of the pictures, so no excuses. Let's have some answers.. If someone is able to find a direct logical and obvious link between Kubota/Silverstone and Morgan SLR/ Goodwood, I bet we'll have found the weirdo of the year!

Except (and I stand to be corrected) that particular SLR is a Triumph TR4.

I A N A B M Which s short for "I am not a Bl**dy Morgan" . John Sprinzel and Chris Lawrence were the creators of the SLR name, their first SLR was the car pictured and based on a Triumph TR2, three later models used a Morgan chassis, and all three are still active today, the red car owned by Simon Orebi Gann, was often driven by Mike Bell.* So the correct answer is the Triumph based SLR.. * Mike at the wheel. |

It seems that most only tackle the simple puzzles. So;
Who do you know? |

No, but I recall speaking to the owners at Silverstone last year. It's a family thing. Thought it may be a TR2 but plumped for the later 4 when I wrote that post.

Simple ID quiz's seem to be popular (ish) so how about cars?
Pic 1 credit Percy, a fine photographer. Well I have purloined his picture. |

I think the Capri is that raced by an old mate Raphael De Boorman.

Typically the Capri body seems to move sideways around the axle showing the rear inside wheel. At least when the rear wing has not been modified. Obviously the first pic shows a GT3 Morgan Aero Super Sport, prep by AutoGT Racing Team. Could be Jabouille/Laffite.
