I have the feeling that the M8 will be a mid-engine supercar. I think the GTE will have a great evolution in the coming years and beyond of the BOP is more easy to be competitive with a mid-engine supercar than a luxury super boat.
The only advantage I see in the super boat is the long, which can enable higher final speed and it is very important in Le Mans. |

Those 8 series spy photos could be the next 6 series. It doesn't seem like the journalists even know which one it is.

Be interesting to see how they BoP balance a boat with a prototype in GT guise (Ford GT). Well they already do it in IMSA, so it's not anything new.
But since this will be a full-factory effort, I wonder how they will play the politics game. |

It's worth pointing out that at least in terms of wheelbase that the last generation 6 series is smaller than the current 3/4 series.

The current (and most of their previous) liveries in IMSA(/WEC) don't exactly set the world on fire, not a fan myself either.

Could this be the car BMW will bring to the table in GTE?
Interesting rumor and these two marks have linked up before to make the famous Mclaren F1: http://www.i4u.com/2016/11/117239/bm...ar-coming-2019 |

DTM RMG: Wittman, Glock, Farfus.
DTM RBM: Martin, Spengler, Blomqvist. IMSA: Auberlen-Sims, Edwards-Tomczyk. Luhr is out of BMW, or at least he took a break... |
