Not today! There seems to be an error that sorts by laps completed not best time.

I wish they'd sort this timing out. Is no-one in a position of authority actually looking at it?!

EDIT. Someone on FB tells me it's to do with the test of the SC procedures. I'm told it will revert to time order soon.

5 cars not completed a lap in FP2 yet. 17, 38, 63, 86, 95.

I honestly did not expect people to try and go very fast today, but I am a little surprised at the lack of pace from the hypercars right now. I thought upper 20s would be the norm but perhaps that's a little bit more difficult than I had thought.

I guess you have to ask what there is to gain by going quickly today? Toyota will want to have both their cars at the top of the list, but beyond that, it doesn't really matter much - if at all....

I'm guessing the hypercars can go a good 5 seconds faster than they are so far

I'm willing to be corrected on this, but it's par for the course that lap times improve from Test Day to race week by at least a couple of seconds.

The cynic in me says it would look better from the LMH's point of view to make it look like LMP2 is "too close" on pace for as long as possible.

Maybe someone will go for a fast one at the end of the session, weather permitting.

I guess for the drivers, seeing what the car behaves like in traffic when you are pushing, or how an increased pace impacts the tires?

So the pass-around will allow a car to join the SC behind which there is the leader of its category ? Why create gaps while racing then ?
Have I understand this procedure ? Will be a SC after each FCY like at Spa ? I hope no.

All four had problems this morning

38 had a rear blow out
63 had electrical issues and is undergoing engine change
86 had a front left failure and subsequent blow out
95 hit the barriers
