Anyways, I suggest we return to the topic in hand rather than squabbling again. It does none of us any favours, nor indeed the forum. |

this section of the forum is badly slipping in standards recently we are just commenting on Champ Car news and reports, negative or not, if you can't handle it, that's your problem this is a discussion forum, for discussion, people will disagree with each other, if they don't then this place just becomes a news reporting site, i'm sure I speak for everyone there |

I will post on topic now and only as it didn't help previously going off.....Matos leaving the CC side really hasn't helped but this is how it is. CC has to have good news or something good happen what with the two bad shots in the two past days.

I wouldnt be classifying Matos to IPS as to big of a loss in the ChampCar scheme of things.
Have we ascertained if the prize money rolls to Perrera ? |

http://www.speedtv.com/articles/auto/indycar/42575/
here is the speedtv article regarding Matos dumping champ car in favour of the IPS it is mentioned about Perrera getting the money but it's not confirmed and even if he did get it, would it actually help him it also metions that Pagenaud has nothing for 2008, so much for the 'system' |

[QUOTE=D.R.T.]Perrera has already been linked to a couple of teams. Namely Forsythe and Conquest. However as per the article, Walker was working on Rafa untill he ran out of time, so Perrera could have a leg up here.
hmmmm, maybe |

he's open about his hatred for the IRL and Tony George and because of this I just cannot see how he can stay impartial but beyond that he seems to have lost the plot in the last year or so and is lashing out all the over the place is he on the money about this champ car article? perhaps, but it could just be another one of his over reactions |

I have never seen the words "I hate the IRL". Miller doesnt get along with George however that stems from his involvement in pressuring for the Indy Stay to severe its contract Miller. |

That's Miller's "take" on his departure from the Star. If you read the reports in the paper on his grievance hearing, you'd know differently.

It was coverage of an arbitration hearing in the Indianapolis Star in which Miller's grievance of wrongful firing was denied. The subjects that the arbitrator ruled on had nothing to do with TG or the Speedway.

I think over time, Miller's commentaries and reports have skewered both series when they deserved it. He has also commented positively when he thought they deserved it. I particularly remember his praise of Cotman at CC.
So when he takes on the issue of Matos, providing the detail he does, which I can compare to what Team Owner wrote initially (well before the announcement, let alone the Miller report). I think in this case we can be confident that he is pretty on-target. ...and that once again Team Owner is giving us the straight story. |

Agree, John SSC....in the Matos piece, he's quoting a lot of people....the real people involved are telling the story as much as he is.

The thing with the quotes, IC, is that he has a variety of sources that are essentially saying the same thing. Since they are not in the same camp that lends additional credence to what he is writing.
