Not that she did much anyway, but again I wonder what Kyle Moyer is doing with Danica's strategy. Pitting her that early left her with no chance to make the race on two stops. What could he have hoped to gain? In the end the third stop only cost her a spot or two, as she was already far down by then. Sometimes it seems people make up odd strategies just for the sake of going out of sequence without analyzing the effects of it.

I would have thought staying out later might have been more beneficial as the car gets dialled in. However, considering it was such an early stop I thought it was a handling issue.

Lloyd was an idiot by hitting Wilson, but officials were even more so by not giving him a drive through.
I've made a teams stangings for this first non-oval stage of the season. The best two finishers get the points for the team and the rest are discarded (e.g. Brsicoe today, so Wheldon gets 8th points, Conway gets 9th points, etc.) Single-car entries get double points. Pole and laps lead bonus points are included. Ties are solved by best car finish. 1. Penske, 304 2. Andretti, 248 3. Ganassi, 229 4. Dreyer & Reinbold, 211 5. Luczo Draco de Ferran, 180 6. Foyt, 174 7. Panther, 174 8. Fazzt, 158 9. KV, 138 10. NHL, 134 11. HVM, 124 12. Conquest, 121 13. Sarah Fisher, 102 14. Dale Coyne, 102 |

Nice to see the podium filled with ex-Champcar drivers.

This Milka thing is even more embarrasing that Life or Andrea Moda teams in F1 in early 90s...
Of course, that was because of the cars, not the drivers |

Last year, it sucked that Power had good points but couldn't stay in the seat for all the races, even before he got hurt.
It will be even worse if that happens when RHR runs out of $$$. |

Congrats to Ryan Hunter-Reay. It's great to see him winning again. Here's hoping that his full season ride is booked now. He's got a good chance at winning the championship now.
Forza Team Green! Andretti is back. Well done. Unfortunately, there is no IZOD IndyCar coverage in Germany so I couldn't watch the race, but it would have been interesting to see Danica VS Simona directly fighting for position. |

I was born in Britain, so I generally root for the British drivers, Wilson, Franchitti, and Wheldon, but I was so pleased to see Hunter-Reay win today. It was great to see an American win, and I think the realistic possibility of an American winning is something the series really needs to attract the casual US fan.

Lloyd tweets:
[alex_lloyd] I honestly didn't even know it happened until I was told after the race! [alex_lloyd] Want to appologize to Justin. It was the corner after Ryan went by and I just didn't know he was there. Glad he recovered well! |

Last win of an American driver in Indycar was also last Hunter-Reay's at Watkins Glen on July 6, 2008. That was a long time!
