I've lost the 6 hour about two pages ago somewhere.
Damn, now you have passed me that dream on I guess. Just trying to fit in Gordon. Besides, where do you get 10,000 old farts from?

10,000 OFs and 15,000 teeth.

Just mention Spa and all your lovely personal thoughts you have about it would provide an answer

Yes, quite! Get it back on track, guys, or we'll have to start moving some posts into a chitchat thread .... or something! I note that it is the usual culprits and it's usually on a Spa thread!

I suspect you won,t be alone Simon. I know of a few drivers with the budget. I suspect threads like this have done more to increase the popularity of the event than the very poor publicity produced by the Spa organisors. Incidentally, they won the award for best event from Masters for last year. Of course that did not have to consider the timing issue, so critics of both needn't go there.

Yeah, the six hour aint bad is it Peter .You are right about the lack of advertising from Vincent/Alain,I can remember a few years ago when quite a few people did not even know where Belgium was let alone Spa!.Just goes to show that when realy good events get off the ground, everyone wants to get in.

I still remember the very first 6 Hour. Not that many cars for this daytime event. And to be honest I didn't think it would grow into something as big as this.

I was there for that one Eddy, only crewing though, then I thought it would be a good idea to do myself the following year! So I have no-one else to blameI personally feel that the daytime events were better though, more time for socialising afterwards.

We are a dad/son team that thinks about entering the 6-hours race in our MATRA Djet, its in cat.GTS-8, is there any other that we drive against in our category/class?
If by any chance I will be able to do the 6-hours race, can anybody help me with some basic things?
Do I need a light on the sidenumbers? Will it be best to have a 3-drivers team?

I saw one of these a few years ago - little French thing powered with a Renault Gordini engine right? Were they homologated and do you have HTP papers?

If so, I think you would be in a class with Sprites and the like - there was at least one in the 6 hour last year as I started at the very back of the grid (having not qualified in the Cortina) and was amongst all the small engine cars at the back.

Yes, you can do 2 drivers quite easily.

And no, you don't need side numbers.
