Nope haven't noticed that. I remember him making quite a few good passes in the Fujitsu series when he went on to win the championsip though. Not sure how you can win a championship when your easily passed yet can't pass others. Especially when they had reverse grid races.

while i love Skaife the guy has got the race craft but lately he seems to be able to carve uop at the Creek and come back abit everywhere else.

Given JC had awesome speed at Adelaide, I'm surprised to see him so far back in late practice.

Maybe the flowing corners don't suit his car/setup as well as the tighter bends that require good power down.

Mr Courtney is allegedly in the 2006 chassis as used by Mr Ingall... the 2005 championship winner no less!

While I am a self confessed Canto Fan I dont read a lot into this ... The Ford is an infinitly better car than the 34 from last year ... but, in saying that he went out on the oldest set of tyres in the rack and was told to keep it straight and on the black stuff.

I believe he was happy with the setup and looking forward to putting in some more time in the car at the next round.

Tander - (surprise surprise)
Skaife - (god, what a no-hoper he is why doesn't he just retire???)
Rick - (ditto, clearly can't drive, clinging on to his team-mates coat-tails and daddy's money )
Whincup - (left his charge to the last minute but did ok)
Cam - (imagine if he had been in a good car for the last few years????)
Davo - (looking for donations....)
Courtney - (look out Cam, I suspect you might get rear-ended)
Holdsworth - (Lee, Lee, Lee, what are you doing this far down????)
Dumbrell - (just keep it on the track and away from your team-mate and JC and you might get somewhere!)
SVG - (where has this kid been hiding???? oh yeah, high school. Great job!)

Well, where was he at Adelaide?

To remain a top driver Skaife needs to be at the pointy end more often and be a continual threat (as Tander) not an occassional threat.
