I have been at a event (working a medical role) when someone wanders up whilst I'm treating a patient and introduces themselves as a Doctor. They had a glass of wine in their hand, and it clearly wasn't their first. I politely explained I had everything under control...

My general rule with help from anyone else is welcome - providing they can prove that they are who they say they are I'll welcome their opinion. I'm not handing over my patient to anyone else unless I know who they are, anything other would be negligent IMHO.

In that scenario I'd expect you to immediately bring it to the attention of the CMO or the clerk that would be attending a major incident, if it was earlier in proceedings when the cavalry hadn't arrived then the rescue crew chief should be alerted.

I've seen a situation where it was known that a consultant in a particular speciality was at the circuit and his services were requested.

On Monday at Silverstone for BTCC Media Day, I noticed some spectators had ducked under the rail at Maggots/Aintree and had climbed into the (empty) elevated Marshall Post, and were happily taking photos. I suggested to them that they would be wise to get down from there into a safe place as they shouldn't have been there, but I had to get out my phone and show a clip of the late Keith O'Dor vaulting the barriers at the Craner Curves at Donnington on Youtube before these people were convinced that they werent safe.

TrueBlueFlyer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
just an update from Malaysia... what an awesome event!

my third Grand Prix, and by coincidence third time at "turn 9"

also third time being deployed to recover debris, this time no dramas, I assisted a local marshal scooping up chunks of Jensen Button's front splitter. great adrenalin rush

also met my first 10-Tenths fellow forum member, it was a great event!
