Oliver Jarvis loses out at the start to Timo Bernhard.
I really want him to do well, but he seems to be a little bit behind the other Audi drivers in every aspect come the race... |

Stunned by how much TV coverage LMP2 and GTE Pro get early on, the majority of TV time since the start.

I know it's very early in the race, but I hope Toyota are playing the long game.
They've yet to get in the 1:40s, hopefully that will change before they all hit traffic. |

Similar to what we saw in Spa, both Toyota's started out slow but are steadily ramping up the speed now, quickest lap for both last time around.

Althought Toyota don't seem to think they have the downforce required. It could simply be a different tire strategy such as at SPA.

See that's why I don't buy speed trap information anymore.
Look at the #8 Audi could barely pass the GTE aston martin on the pit straight...Yet they have the fastest trap speed... |

what was the message Porsche gave to Bernhard --and Audi passed on later on (I think)
I couldn't hear a thing about it... |

Timo was told he could use "Mix 3" to try and pass Fassler.
Marcel was told he could use "No cut" to defend from Bernhard. So basically both were told to turn it up to 11 if necessary. |

GG & Hindy still believing that Toyota is playing some sort of strategy, I think they`re just slow.
Give or take with traffic, they're losing about a second per lap. That can't be made up by any kind of strategy. |

Brilliant stuff at the front. But I don't believe Toyota are on a different strategy. If Toyota are just slow then it's not going to be a good end to the season given they're expecting everyone to stay with these kits now.
Great stuff by ByKolles so far too. |

I like how the Porsche LMP team is continuing the job that the Porsche GTLM team started yesterday. Are there any BMWs about?

I would have thought with the 1 lap stint advantage Porsche would be content to stick with Audi, unless they're worried about their tyres.
Rebellion #13 on the back of ByKolles. Hopefully we'll see more of that battle. |

It's Andre time! Never rated Fassler so let's see how fast the Audi actually is.
Porsche will lead through the stops I think. |

Both Audis pit. New fronts and scrubbed rears on #8, all scrubbed on #7 one lap later. #7 takes 3 second longer than #8, and the #1 should leapfrog both (still out).
Well Jarvis just got past Lotterer on the track so ... |
