Rebellion (1:39.164) and WTR (.496) in the 139s already. Last year's 24 fastest practice lap was the Delta Wing at 138.590 and fastest race lap (Pipo's) at a 1:39.192 looks like things are progressing well for this year.

Anyone concerned that Mazda were still working on both cars for the majority of FP1? New engine teething?

Just the usual unfortunately. Whilst the car is gorgeous and we all want it to do well, it is still the same team who manage to grab defeat from the jaws of victory at every opportunity.

BTW the Ligier is reaching 193 mph of top speed, that's very close to the 199 that the Cadies got in december. |

Haven't the engines been turned down since then? Gibson requested a slight detune for the 24 since it's the first race. I think we'd be best comparing current speeds.

I know we are early but I am starting to feel bad
for Mazda. They have got to get to the low 40's before the end of the weekend. |

It's raining right now but should be cleared up and drying by the 1PM practice. And much cooler.

The teething issues continue for the Riley cars:
http://sportscar365.com/imsa/iwsc/ri...ension-issues/ Had to manufacture new suspension parts yesterday and electronic issues persist. Going to be a tough 24 hours for the teams I think. |

Now they are getting speed. It's very nice to see the Nissan and Mazda running so close at this stage. It looks like the Mazda will finally reach 190 mps

How can you be laps behind in a test session?
I actually don't even understand why the Porsches are still 2 seconds a lap faster than every other GT car in the rain but I'm getting really tired of it. |
