The morning during the practices, there are just hardcore fans.We have to wait for the qualy to see people.
The ticket price is 50 euros. It is too expensive compared to 15 euros in FE.
The stands have always been empty even during races.I remember that in 2016, the organizers opened the door to local residents to fill the stands because there was nobody. There were women with their babies in the back who were crying because of the noise of the cars ....
This year, the stands in Formula E were full(for the race) with spectators who have paid their seats. There was a grandstand in front of the stands that was reserved for schoolchildren.

And Sepang will have the FIM Endurance World Championship. Motorcycling is quite popular in Malaysia, so it could be decent.

Edit: The World Sueprbikes round at Sepang had low attendance and was dropped after 2016.

Tarquini won a race cause he qualified 9th! And all other Hyundai didn't get good result. Tarquini is right to complain and imho it's stupid to give a bop before first race!

As I mentioned above they were quite quick though not the quickest. A reasonable argument is that they should be the quickest on the tight street circuits as they dominated last year, therefore because they didn't do brilliantly they will struggle the whole year. Only problem is that they won at every circuit bar 3 last year. Just because you won last year due to a favourable BoP doesn't mean you're allowed the nicest BoP again this year.

And the reason for the BoP is to reduce cost. If for even 1 race there wasn't BoP then every manufacturer would have to spend so much to be the actual fastest just to gain every tenth making the cars cost way over 130k to make. That would be to just win 1 round and every team serious about the title would spend the money just to be ahead for that 1 round. Then for round 2, 3... whenever the BoP came in the cars would be identical and those who lost out in the first round(s) would already be at a disadvantage because they didn't spend a million pounds for one round. Plus then every privateer running those cars around the world would need to spend on the presumably expensive upgrade.

Running without BoP defeats the point of BoP at which point you just get Super Touring which obviously stayed around for so many years without spiralling costs right?

Having your best driver to qualify just 0.4 off pole is very bad...
Also other Hyundai drivers were 0.46, 0.47 and 0.76 so they all were inside 1 second.
What did they expect, to dominate like last year...

TCR BoP should be worldwide identical.

Perhaps we should wait until the local TCR series started to get an overal impression about the car strenghts, not just on one track or by one driver.

Like last year, sandbagging during bop test and then destroy their rivals at the first race.

They use same BoP, but WTCR also use compensation weight, but they were same for every car last weekend, 60kg for everyone.
