Doc
We'll just have to agree to differ about swerving - I agree that it's unsporting, but I do maintain that it's not as dangerous as it looks. I will strenuously defend my right to teach my kids whatever I **** well please though! You tell your kids whatever you like! I never use smilies - but I'll make a one-time only exception for you I'm going to try and leave the BB alone for a few days, before I go broke! See ya next week. Glen |

"We'll just have to agree to differ about swerving - I agree that it's unsporting, but I do maintain that it's not as dangerous as it looks." Bob Akin was just killed by accident resulting from contact with another car. An inadvertant swerve. He moved a 2000lb concrete barrier 25 feet and tore down five pine trees. Do you think there is an F-1 circuit anywhere in the world that has barriers stronger than 35ft tall pine trees? Do you think a hoarde of people would have stopped the car any better? This was accidental contact at a vintage race (practise). Why ask for the same kind of thing by allowing stupid intimidatory swerving antics? It is already under criminal investigation by the Fulton county Sheriff. If it were a deliberate swerve, imagine the stink. And this is in the United states of America, not Italy where they are famous for this kind of "justice." "I will strenuously defend my right to teach my kids whatever I **** well please though!" And so will I. I never, ever accosted your right to teach him whatever you want. I just don't want to be in your shoes when after a lifetime of worshiping him, your son sees the Jerez films and wonders why you allowed him to belieive in the guy. "I never use smilies - but I'll make a one-time only exception for you ' Beer is good. |

Here's one that, while it might be appropriate once in a while, would doubtlessly be over-used:

Thanks J.McLane! Those are hilarious! Like I said though, I tend to think that these would become a bit over-used! |

Doc
I really am going to have a break for a week now (I know, I just can't keep away)... but... Quote:
I'll catch up on all this nonsense and banter after the weekend, when we can all look forward to The Irritatingly Good German Fellow's jinx race. Montoya's 7-1 at the bookies - might have a little bit of that. Later. Or something. |

Those only come up as red "x"s on my monitor. I guess the decision will have to be Moffat's...
