70,000 people went, from what I gather. This less than the tickets available. I have never known the British GP not sell out months in advance!
It does not compare to the days of Mansell (odd!) or even the big days in the '50s. |

Yeah, I've tried getting tickets in previous years and there was no chance! They were selling them at the gate this year. I have another separate issue with that altogether... :->

I went to Spa last year, rubbish view for 98 quid! + petrol + The 'Chunnel' = about £300. In fact I spent most time watching the big screen through my binoculars!!!
Might as well of stayed at home and watched it on TV! The Mrs makes a great GP lunch, coffee/beers and no que for the damn loo! |

I've been to Spa a couple of times to see the GP and had a great view, a big screen nearby and ate dodgy sausages! Top stuff. I also found it easy to spend the time with no track action (too much of that) wondering around the track going "Wow". I never realised that a peice of enpty tarmac could be so amazing!
