The official site again said Borja Garcia was in the car, but I think that's wrong??? The lola's are improving, Vilander was only 0.5 seconds of the fastest time!

E46: you are correct, but the F3 Euroseries timing showed him, most probably because he was listed with that car the day before and they forgot to update. (Thank god it wasn't such a mess as wednesday night)

At least Vilander put one of the Coloni cars closer to the top.
Still dissapointed by Franchi and Hiranaka. Last edited by Marcel ten Caat; 19 Mar 2004 at 18:28. |

Nice too see the British boys are up there giving a good account! Here's hoping Jamie can get himself a good season together in 2004 and who knows where that might lead......

Borja was in the car on friday, that is right. He did 1500 km on the week because he tested for the Spanish F3 as well, he was relly tired by friday. The albacete test on Spanish F3 is
Garcia Giao Kane Risatti Kool Villota |

Did RecEng drop someone or go to a 5th car? I read somewhere else Watts was testing, and that they were testing at Jerez. So I figured Kane was out as the teammate to Kool at Albacete

No RE has three cars, and has tested with Garcia and Villota plus somebody else. Kool teammate will be Rissati (I think) the Azteca team and most of the personal has now under TEC Auto name (british owned). They tested Rissati and that looks good as he is fast and will be a good asset to the new team beside Kool.

ever actively participated on any forum in my life, although i read this one for about 6 months. unfortunately i will not have much time to actively participate in the future, as in coloni we work hard to make the cars go quicker. but if you believe that the lola is one sec off the pace this year you are wrong. try to watch how the times were set, e.g. certain toprunners using various fuels and various qualifying maps. talk to you after the first official qualifying session at hockenheim. |

Look im a big lola supporter and id like nothing more than to see them do well. But on average against competitive grids they struggled at about a second off pole.

I must agree with Bradrive, pre season testing ok but until first qualifying it is hard to tell who is where alot of teams throughout the years have ran different strategies to impress sponsors driver and managers pre season. I think you will see the normal Mucke drivers much closer and some people slide massivly as soon as things become regulated!!

Indeed, but when the testing seems to mimic the qualifying results of the car last year; its easy to jump to conclusions. id say in some regards 3 days of testing at Valencia is more misleading because you've got an entire 3 days to sort your car, and if its tricky you wont do well in 30 minutes of quals
