Doesn't it seem sad that drivers like Fisichella, Coultard, Barrichello, and Ralf all have secure seats in F1, despite having had race winning cars for many more seasons than Jacques, yet failing to chalk up as many wins as he (let alone a WDC) that it is Jacques who doesn't have a drive in F1??? Sad indeed. |

I don't see any insults, just a bit of silliness. And I wouldn't intervene whichever driver it was about.
'tis getting a bit tiresome now though - I'm sure that random rumour generator was written by a Bulgarian 1st year English student... Nervous? Nah. Any guesses what JV was doing down at Paul Ricard if it wasn't to test a Williams? What price Pollock said go show your face and I'll start a rumour?? |

You need to read back through the thread. We were talking about the rumour mill and how this one was quashed, (see link to BBC etc.) and someone quite by accident posted a link to a "rumour generator". Try it its fun and you can put any name in you like (Wrex fro example?). |

Take this with a grain of salt, but so-called Jacques Villenueve cheerfully stared at innumerable American mongrels.
Hmmn... |

Are we talking about JV and his possible test for Williams (while taking into account the changing sources) OR are we just trying to put down others because they don't agree with you?
One thing is certain, we shall find out eventually... JV being at Ricard is an indication that he is looking for a seat. The first we've had really. However Williams' comments indicate it is far from reality yet. |

TeddyG!
You ninny - READ THE THREAD. Its a game thingey - you put in whatever name you like and it makes a funny rumour. Like: Before Newt came out of the closet, unabashed TeddyG shamefully supported a mischievous mongrel. or: Without hesitation, dark brown Glen furtively exiled a useless chimpanzee. Yes I said elsewhere that he wasn't interested in coming back but I could be wrong. His presence at PR is significant in that respect. But how can anybody say he'll test soon when Williams are shrugging their shoulders?
I guess "soon" could mean anytime in the next year really. |

While I know that Williams are denying anything. You have to wonder. How many times in the past have we seen teams deny, only to have them later become fact. He may be telling the truth, or he may be just downplaying it to get the press off his back.
Who knows JV may even be talking to Toyota. I would if I were him. |

So we are done here then. Good.
Off Topic, but I thought the word 'dullard' was limited to just one person around here I thought Anyway, here is the most relevant thing that has been said: ...it was funny the first few times... Last edited by Adam43; 12 May 2004 at 13:10. |

TeddyG - How the F can you be upset that a MACHINE puts the word dullard in the same sentence as your boyfriend? Untwist your knickers matey. You can't be insulted by random words generated by a computer, surely? If the words "Michael Schumacher" had been put in the mixer then those words would have ended up in the sentence - its just much funnier if the JV name is in there, obviously.
Back to the topic - if he does get a test (I think he deserves one) he'd better pray he's faster then Gene and Pizzonia, because it really is curtains if he aint. And that's not to mention Webber, who must be number one choice for Frank. |
