If DJR or 888 have any testing days remaining after the season they may debut after the season has finished. This however would depend on when their existing contracts actually expire. Both Lowndes in 00 and Ingall in 02 were contracted to 31st December, precluding them from driving for other teams until after this date.

As with Lowdnes, i really don't see the point in him changing teams (unless Seton was pushed), both those teams are doing no better than FPR and in DJR's case they have been on a downward spiral for years, which to me is a shame as i have been a Johnson fan for as long as i remember.

Must say the pairing is suprising, especially looking at their relationship back in 94-95-96, but good to see Seton with a drive.

I think both drivers jumping ship at FPR shows they are not confident in the infrastructure of the team.Just had a chat to a parts supplier to FPR, & he mentioned seeing a dyno run where they compared one of Seton's old EL,AU vintage engines against a new Pommy built donk. One guess which made more power & torque, but FPR in their infinite wisdom chose to stay with the Pommy built units.I would imagine it would be episodes like this that caused both drivers to re-evaluate their chosen work place.....

Havn't the rules concerning engines changed since the EL/AU days...

Maybe that is why they don't run GSR engines

I can confirm Glenn told channel 9 Gold Coast that part of the deal to move to DJR was that they stayed with Ford.

For what it's worth I think the move of Seton to DJR is fanbloodytastic...2 icons of the sport from the same corner teaming up together...just what both parties need.

I have no doubt since JB & DJ stopped driving DJR have gone backwards..especially in car set up as they have generally always had good car speed.

The input from Seton on set up will give both the chance to get back to where they both should be...at the top.

Now all the remains is for GS to win that elusive 1000k race....in a yellow DJR car....now wouldnt that be truely ironic.

Cheers

I put a senario up here a while ago about who Glenn's partner may be next year and where Junior will be. Well i hear it may have been or even still is on the cards. Want a hint........ watch a certain add currently running on TV.

On 2nd thought, why not link him to WPS...

Besnard to ChampCar, Yoong to #23 and Jr to #48.... with Mr McIntyre hanging round to learn more about the team, cars, series etc, while being placed in one of Charlie's GT3's

Sorted... Next!!

Junior might well end up in a Holden IF he leaves DJR.
