On a cold track, progressive throttle response is king. Advantage Porsche.

Intersport were running their Sebring practice engine without being remapped for the highest allowable boost (remember they cracked the header on their good engine at Houston). Advantage Porsche.

Yes, Liz is slower than the Porsche drivers. She's working on it. But she is definitely part of the package that gets them on the track, so we should be happy to cheer her on.

As was mentioned on dailysportscar, the idea was to try to stay within shouting distance for Liz' stint, but as soon as she had the shifter problems, it was game over. So they let her bring it home instead of running Jon at the end.

half a second in the quickest lap is not that much... I think it does not take anything away from my comment and the result at the end of the day. Any of the Zyteks or Courages would have left them miles behind...

Nothing happened to it! Aston Martin replaced some bodywork, the undertray, the difusser, a couple of small suspension bits for safety's sake, and tightened a few fasteners. It was absolutely amazing how little damage was done.

I think Prodrive should do a comparo between the DBR9 and one of their WRC cars!

And that sums up why it is totaly unrealistic to compare the Intersport Lola with factory Spyders.

Lets see how they stack up against customer Spyders, and how these Porsche customer compare to factory backed Lola/Courage Acuras.

Dyson have the potential to challenge Audi (R10) in outright pace, but need much longer to sort the car.

That photo is one in about 6 sequence shots of the accident. I could post the links to them if you like, but I don't know who to credit as the photographer.

I'd bet it cost more than a first class flight from London to San Francisco!

...and it travelled no where as far.

I didn't know you needed an instrument rating to drive a racing car.

Hey everybody, I am the photographer who shot Lamy flying in the Aston. Feel free to use them but just credit them to me, Jon Williamson. More photos of the weekend can be found at

Thanks again and it was a great weekend. Looking forward to Le Mans.
