Probably done more races than most of them too - it past 200 race starts at Le Mans a couple of weekends ago.
I really ought to get one of those historic thingees - you do seem to get to race at the best circuits |

I'm think i can use single leaf springs. There's no mention of number of leaves in the Appendix K regs.... and i'm pretty sure that others are using single leaf springs too. When the FIA scrutineer checked my car over at the start of the year for my HTP papers he didn't count the number of leaves and I've been running with an extra leaf since the car was built to stiffen the back up. |

Thanks for the replies, for some reason I had an even lower weight figure in mind but 980kg is still 200kg lighter than a 6cyl Falcon (V8 is heavier again of course).

I presume that current FIA App K tech regs probably allow spring rates to be free, therefore, allowing any number of leaves to be used. BTW I've just had my springs retempered. It was expensive but they now work just as they are supposed to. I'll send you the details if you wish. Peter |

Why not get singles modified to fit,any half Decent Blacksmith would be able to sort that for you,the only thing is to work out what the final spring rate would be!

Well, they say the camera never lies Roger!
Can we look forward to more of the same at Spa? Could this be why they've created more space at La Source? Incidentally, for those concerned about such things, I can confirm that the friterie & bar in the lower part of the paddock at Spa have remained untouched by all the changes & new building work. |

Back to Chimay topic
According to RTL, Chimay is for the time being closed for all racing purposes, due to financial problems. Historycar seems to be the main loser for the moment.
