not 100% sure but grasser is from austria, FFF racing is italian despite they usually run under chinese license. Anyway prema racing is one of top tier F2 teams, considering how fierce is competition in F2 and how complex the dallara F2 is, I think to handle a lmdh will be quite easy for them. Not to mention that (unless things changed in the meantime) onroak cars are actually built in a town close to lamborghini hq, this should help to improve synergies between onroak and lamborghini. |

Surely JLOC would be one of the teams offered a car, right? .

It's great that Lambo are joining. It's the right time for them and I think these rules will suit them perfectly. Can't wait to see what the car looks like

Not sure if anything came if this...
'Finally, whether or not a manufacturer needs to compete in the top class to be eligible to race in the GT ranks is seemingly up for debate. Manufacturer sources have suggested to RACER that there has been discussion around a potential restriction to teams in the new GT class for makes not already represented in the WEC in the new Hypercar class. This would mean a brand like Aston Martin would be unable to field customer cars or a factory GT entry, without a top class program.' https://racer.com/2021/08/20/gt3-to-...ans-from-2024/ |

The Aston Martin rule?!
I vaguely remember that too. I’m not a fan. |

I vaguely remember reading something about a joint-venture between AF Corse and Prema, and assumed that's why both have stepped into LMP2...but that article was back when the programme was initially announced and I could just be corrupting my memory with an easy assumption.

Yes, that's probably as high as they will go. I've never felt the prototypes have been a priority for them either

With the WAU-Ford deal in Australia there could be something on the horizon in IMSA whether it's a Mustang GT3 programme or prototype.

Obviously the deal in Australia could go a long way. Wouldn't be surprised to see them in IMSA, although they probably wouldn't enter as full factory effort

i suspect that peugout will make a big show of being back next year, they will use the same publicity material they did last year when they put on a big we will be here next year show.

Cadillac tweeted and then quickly deleted something the other day which implied a Le Mans week announcement on the Thursday.
It's become a bit of a running joke though really. Everyone expects a flurry of announcements each year at Le Mans and we just get... essentially nothing. Or dross to fill the void like Frazer Nash are coming back. I'm pretty sure Alpine cancelled their press conference last year. Maybe Cadillac too. Surely this year will be better. Even just some driver confirmations would be good as we know very little. |
