Well it won the SPA 6 - things move on though.
hahahahah Things move on.......... Do you see what I did there (they should not - as classic fia stuff should always be the same........ It would be a top ten car though still. More pics later. Round tails Cheers for sorting pic size Peter. |

Externally Roger the Engine looks identical to how it was when Joe sold it.

They ran Webbers at Spa last year so I would think so.

[QUOTE=terence bower;2755340]Externally Roger the Engine looks identical to how it was when Joe sold it about five years ago,we retained the Webber set up through out his ownership as we did with his first Griffith Spa win.

Webbers are in the papers no change there - just the way the air gets in through an open top mesh instead of the scoop (if running to current "wide") spec.
Fingers X'd they run without any issues this year - should be top five if they can. |

I would have thought that the top ten will be filled by V8s seeing as they take up nearly half of the grid! Whether one of those just happens to be a Griff, I wouldn't put money on it.

But as a Griff fan (obviously) and want to see them Right up the sharp end - obviously this will be harder now there are alot of really fast cobra's and GT40 etc out there. But the Shipman and Johnson cars were well in the top ten on pace last year, both had some problems that mean't the had no chance, (punctured rad (replaced), shattered Disc at close to top speed, (Blue car), and replace a faulty webber on the Green one. You are not going to be in contention with those LONG fix issues. Needs to be no issue then they should be well in the top ten - they have a few more tweek I think for this year. Larger rubber possible (the papers basically say any size tyre you can get in there (under the sanctioned arches is fine). They are hobbled a bit over the Cobra's due to the way the original fia papers were written up - (they can't run such good brakes - think this was down to what was homologated at the time - an oversight, that means they are at a disadvantage). Imagine a disc shattering at close to 170! About a 1/3 of it fell away, lucky not to take the rest of the corner with it at those speeds! |

That baby blue Griff was pretty quick last year . . . I wonder why the Shipman rocket is hidden from every one. They don't like to chat either. Will try again though

Surely these fia regs mean a basically stadard Griff (not wide body type) could enter is it has the right cage, cutouts, extinquisher and tyres (might not be fast). You are out in the Healey then? |

As long as DD300 can race as "un-molested" then any car can!!
Terry - I think Joe still has a TVR - is it another Griff or a Grantura? |
