Richards was on Motors TV last night and once again sounded like the Vantage GT2 would be the basis for any 'World Championship' car.
David Coulthard also said he's open to offers for Le Mans, so long as it's with driver friends, I wonder if the Robin Brundle Aston Martin/Lola connection could eventually see him in one of those cars. |

Maybe Aston Martin will use the Vantage V12 RS (a V8 Vantage with a V12 engine) as the basis for a new GT1 car?
They use the roadversion of the Vantage V12 RS as some kind of homologation special. |

I wouldnt mind what Brabham has to say , as he doesnt drive for AMR , how could he be privy to what exactly is going on .
Who would you believe first about what is going on in AMR , Brabham or Richards ? |

Autosport magazine claims that 2 LMP 1 Aston Martin engined Lolas are under construction at Lola for Prodirve to run and suggest that this will be under the Gulf sponsorship.

Gulf sponsored Aston Martins would also be attractive to collectors, who could purchase the cars, as happened with the GT1's. |

Murphy's got some news!
107. Trouble in Paradise, Clarifying Cats, Porker Proto Possible
Le Sarthe, then Oblivion? Murphy’s been told that three coupes on the build floor at Huntington are indeed for the Gaydon, Warwickshire builder of iconic automobiles. Two are certainly being equipped with V12s having cores of Teutonic design and head covers emblazoned with the famous wing logo. The third may be the same. All three will go from Huntington to France in June for the classic in Le Sarthe, thence straight into the dark garages of the oligarchs who have financed them. ---------------------------- Come on Richards....... you should have had these Gulf beauties on the grid for the orange grove race in March! Either way I CAN"T WAIT |

Bit of a bummer if they attempt to put all their eggs in one basket for just one year, as the odds are heavily against them I think.
