Couldn't this be Adam Morgans old chassis?

I hope Belcher runs with that livery - looked good on a Clio, will look great on a touring car.

The biggest limiting factor on Speedworks results have been the drivers. Look how well the car went when someone with a bit of experience got in it.

P7 in qualifying at Knockhill with Paul O'Neill, followed by two sixths and fourth in the races - and Paul's not exactly a world-class driver like Thompson or Giovanardi for example.

With the right drivers Speedworks would be right up at the front.

It was during the eurosport commentary. Think it was in race 1 or qualy.

I also think the right engineer makes a massive difference. Speedworks has some issues with that this year. Whereas Adam Morgan got it spot on with his engineer with basically the same cars. The Speedworks machines were always very oversteery and couldn't get heat into the rears.

Been confirmed it's a car Speedworks had in their possession. So surely must be the test car.

This is what Inside BTCC have posted on Facebook.

" To clarify some reports elsewhere, the car that Simon Belcher plans to use is 2014 is an ex-Speedworks chassis - the team had three in its possession.

It isn't the car raced by either Adam Morgan or Frank Wrathall in 2013. "

Could also be front aero. If I recall, the front air splitters were different on the Speedworks and Ciceley cars.

I understand the 'test car' was one of the cars raced last year. Its not been confirmed which chassis Belcher will use.

does this actually matter in the end which chassis it is ???? this cars surelly get reworked over the winter

either way we are looking potentially at 5 Toyotas on the grid if Wrathall returns and Morgan one finds a new owner (Lea Wood or someone else)

It's a curiosity thing. Better than making up rubbish rumours.

Whether Wrathall returns or not isn't really within his own hands, his sponsors hands, or anything really connected at the moment.

I believe they were in contact with Dynojet earlier in the season & the rumour surfaced then, so wouldn't be surprised if they had concluded a deal!

Yes, there's that somewhat rather more serious issue to deal with as well. Without getting into the details of the case, do we know when it's due to recommence... and conclude ?

It's January I think.

I wonder if UA will go for gentlemen drivers or young prospects.

I'll give someone a virtual point if they can tell me the last time Richard Dean was rumoured to be involved in the BTCC.

He was supposed to be racing TMSR's pair of Lexus IS200s in 2002 alongside Steve Sutcliffe (Autocar journo).
