my guess is that there will be a lot of changes between now and the first race at Monza.

Johansson and Enge will be racing in the ALMS at Long Beach when Monza is on. Both Spyker and Speedy are evaluating drivers this week (as reported in another topic).

Jeroen Bleekemolen and Jan Lammers have an A1GP race in China on April 15 (unless that race is off, date is changed or another driver takes the Team NED seat).

Satorian has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

However, Dumbreck, Kane, Kox, Hezemans, Coronel, etc. etc. are all, demonstrably, talents sufficient to warrant the tag "quick and reliable" and worthy of judging the car's potential.

No doubt, but back then the car just wasn't as up to snuff as I expect it to be now. Spyker expanded their operation considerably and some of their F1 tech was supposed to trickle down into the GT effort. I would have been delighted if at least Kox and Dumbreck had made a comeback, but having a new talent on board isn't bad either.

I'm saying that I'm just happy they found suitable talent again to match their car's progress. It would have been a bummer to have nicely rebuilt GT2R Spykers with no proper drivers this year.

WOW, great to see tom chilton back in the zytek, must admit im surprised since he is commited with a works drive in the BTCC with VXR.

his performance with hayanari shimoda in 2005 showed that he was a force to be reckoned with.

will chilton be doing the full season or just selected rounds?

Hilarious. Still, fast cars, fast women...the marketing tie-in to the target market is excellent.

I seem to remember hearing that MenX had off-the-hook parties in its day, what business was that associated with?!

OK, I'll definitely give you that. I wasn't really expecting driver quality to go down. They haven't really "had" Kox at any point, he sorta moonlit for them amidst other projects. Hopefully the driver lineups are not set in stone, though, as Stranger is suggesting. Alexander-David was ok but no match for Tim Sugden in the JMB 430 this year. Chisea isn't a bad pick however.

I wonder if Goldentime's Ferrari 550 is an old model or if its one of the newer Care Racing "Evo"s?

An interesting question I hadn't considered. Of course, that's just an engine change so any available chassis could theoretically run in either config as I understand it.

Bleekamolen and Lammers dont have to be there , at the A1GP race , do they ?

Drivers are changed quite frequently , and im sure that Lammers team could manage itself for the race .

GT-Eins says so.

Wow. I would have figured Oreca would have gotten a 2nd entry ahead of this fossil.

You mean the fossil that did so well in the last FIA GT race of 2006?

God only knows what you're talking about, but it isn't reality. Actually, I do know what you're talking about: the 550 Maranello that performed well in the FIAGT finale last year was a Prodrive chassis which had been modified by CARE Racing with an electronically regulated unrestricted powerplant as a testbed/demonstration car for FIA approval.

This chassis is not a Prodrive chassis. It is a Wieth chassis. Out of all 550s made, the Prodrive examples were of course the most stunningly successful. The Italtechnica cars and derivatives as variously campaigned by Rafanelli, DART, Force One, JMB were not nearly as well-developed. Even poorer were the 2(?) chassis built by the Wieth family: even in the capable hands of Wolfgang Kaufmann they have appeared only semi-respectable. So yes, this is an old fossil, and no, it should not have received an entry over something like a second Oreca Saleen.

I should think that the Arena 07S's driver line-ups may change a fair bit....with one driver being a permanent - although due to their other commitments Chilton and SJ are unlikely to be the permanent one.......watch this space!

Looking at the Courage Competition presentation, what's the difference between the red car and the blue car? I notice the blue car has two turbo intakes and the red car has only one...

Strange, isn't it? 2 intakes should be the setup for the AER V8, and certainly is on the "runner" chassis. So either a) the red car's not completely prepared to latest spec or b) it's an LC75 with an AER 4-cyl turbo?

My thinking is maybe the red car is Noel del Bello's LC75, which does have an AER 2.0L Turbo.
