The holden bias in supercars continues, why does this not surprise me after all the parity benefits that holden received?

How convenient.
Very obvious now that the series has no balls. You can knowingly hide information that prejudices a race result and nowt happens. |

Does any other team use Mostech engines?

I would have thought a $130k or more engine would be made to the highest of tolerances using CNC machining etc. Are they sealed at Mostech? Are team members present to watch motor being assembled? If not, how is it the teams fault?

Have to say that it feels like a really soft penalty - not good for the sport in my personal view - teams need to be deterred from using fat engines and knowing they can escape with a minor penalty having put themselves in a strong position for the biggest race in the country.

Just seems weird though that all the cylinders that were out were at the front of the engine, near the water pump where they complained of high water pressure.
My suspicious mind thinks this may have been allowed normally but CAMS took the opportunity to sink the boot into DJRTP again over Bathurst. |

Regardless of the cause and benefit or lack thereof, this is the second time the team has presented a car in a session, knowingly breaking the rules, and knowingly and deliberately hiding the fact until after the matter, by which they gained an advantage. Both times no effective penalty has been served. Scott just has to finish today to wrap up the series win so this penalty is a paper tiger.

I'm a Ford guy but I think a DQ for car #17 would have been the right decision. You should not be able to buy a victory

IMHO it would be a detriment if anything as it isn't across all of the valves and the extra lift is that minor that it would almost be impossible to measure, it could be no more than extra expansion from extra heat from whatever problem that they were experiencing requiring the engine change.

Agree it's not a good look for the team and they have to be extra careful from now on. |

Is DJRTP the new spelling for the word cheat? Same number of letters.....
How many other times this year ( and last ) have they been running cars outside the rules that haven't been picked up? Plenty of times I'd guess. Disgraceful performance, they have gotten away far too lightly, even more so as repeat offenders. And they'll keep doing it because the consequences are meaningless to them. Time for Supercars to harden up and get real with the penalities and dq's. |

I bet that engine looked amazing on a dyno but may have had a question mark over it and they choose to run it anyways then later the water pump issues showed. Convenient.
Fabs should be ****ed, he doesn’t even get the cheater engines when hes getting thrown under the bus. Maybe the debris was in the valve springs? |
