I can't say the project is dead. There is a lot of new classic car racing series coming up. This car has some pedigree. It was supposed to be the next-Le Mans 24 Hrs winner. I remember to read the headlines... "Could Ginetta win Le Mans outright at its first attempt?"

It explains a lot. But someone had to do it anyway. |

If it's not dead, it's barely on life support.... Massive shame.

And they're not hiding them at some warehouse out of embarrasment and pretending as if they never existed! Like Nissan and Aston Martin...

It'll get a new badge later as an LMP0 and sold to customers and run in Creventic.

At least they gave it a good go, that's all I can say. They can look back and say that they had managed to compete at Le Mans

Ok we no it's not going to race in the rest of the 2018/19 season. However there is still a chance they could appear in the 19/20 season so there is chance the project isn't dead yet.

You guys managed to find positives even though the car was a little tragedy!
Having said that, I support the idea of renaming it as LMP0. Mr Tomlinson, please make something useful of such a great car in the quite thick skinned Creventic's prototype series. |

The main positive to me was that it was a great looking car with one of the best liveries from last year's entrants.

For the year to 31 March 2018, Ginetta reported a gross profit of £821,179 on turnover of £9.2m. I'm curious to read the data of March 2019.

Although they didn’t exactly cover themselves in glory, I feel it would help for them to continue going, for LMP1 sake

“Whilst running at Spa would have been a great shop window, from the regs it looks like LMP1 cars will run for at least 2 more years."
More like 1 proper year and then final one with terrible BoP against OEMs + insane restrictions to have them performing on sub LMP2 power levels. Not the greatest of investment opportunities |

Imagine if they could've just run it in the ELMS or wherever. What a waste

Well they probably did it to give Toyota company in LMP1, as they were on their own

Well Toyota didn’t have much competition, so it probably seemed a good idea at the time for Ginetta to join
