There have been so many big accidents there over the years that any attempt to slow down the cars before they hit a solid wall is seen as beneficial.

Cars look great in the low sun at T3. Lots of close calls at this corner with GT cars seemingly carrying more speed through the corner and nearly hitting prototypes on multiple occasions

Rob Ferriol has shunted the #99 Porsche (which was running last of the GTs) at T5. FCY after two-and-a-half hours of green flag running.
Got loose on exit, over-corrected and smacked the tyre barrier. Meanwhile the #18 has been retired having gone behind the wall around an hour ago - nothing to do with Mr Merriman! |
