Hindy and Graham mentioned how quiet Revellion has been over the last few weeks. It has me a little concerned.

I dont think there is much news really, you would think they will be shaking the new engine down soon so that they can concentrate on running at the test rather than trying to get everything to work.

Rebellion tweeted this 2 days ago:
'Testing programme with 2015 upgraded Rebellion R-One AER will start soon as assembly of new cars is underway See you at Le Mans !' |

John Dagys is writing in his Spa Post Race Notebook " ***The Austrian squad will face competition in LMP1 Privateer for the first time next month at Le Mans, with Rebellion Racing set to make its first start of the year with two heavily revised Rebellion R-Ones, which now feature AER power. The team is expected to roll out the first of the updated ORECA-built chassis shortly."
Makes me wonder if Rebellion will be at the Spa test 19-20 May ? And in that tweet mentioned in the post above ... @RebellionRacing @JAGLeMans lots of content is coming this May ... Stay tuned and follow us on @periscopeco |

I know these things take time, but it's now May and they've only just started assembling the cars. I wonder if the delay is also to do with budgetary reasons. Maybe they had the choice between 7 races with the RKV8, or 5 with the AER.

Or, as has been suggested before, ORECA are just really busy, not least with laying up LMP2 05s.
If the decision to switch to AER came quite late it might have just been too much to squeeze the work in earlier. |

hehe yes they are. But Rebellion needs ByKolles, as ByKolles needs Rebellion. One without the other have no reason to exist. I hope both teams can finish at Le Mans, with or without problems, but finish al least.

Only Long Beach and Laguna besides Sebring and Petit, however at the time they were focusing on R-one preparation with Oreca (they also scaled down WEC to one Lola) so it's not surprising they didn't do the rest of the races as originally planned. The intention was to win races overall, as officially stated by Rebellion. Which is why I firmy believe they'd be running in ELMS asap if ACO reallowed them.
That Rebellion vs Pickett at Laguna 2013 was probably the last truly great P1 privateer battle on track. I guess Pickett vs (for once not crap) Dyson was good at VIR that year too but it died out quickly. |

i think the only thing the photo's show is that Rebellion do not want to publish pictures of the new car yet

The hells the point in those pictures, might as well not publish any photos. Cars not finished? its still in naked carbon, also have they ran the car yet?
Rebellion, and ByKolles might be very similar this year (being new cars). |

Since there is only 15 days to the Test day, the car is almost certainly finished. The wrapping only takes a couple of days so that will easily be done (Cars are not painted anymore, as far as I know). Testing is however a good question, but they most likely have to ensure the installation is correct. |

I think that Rebellion Racing have other worries than not disclosing too much information. They are supposed to track test the new cars for the first time next week before shipping the two cars to LM for the Test Day. It will be hard, but I do trust that Rebellion Racing will produce a reasonably good show at LM, likely better that ByKolles... and possibly Nissan

I just hope that once the cars do get on track that they are reliable and they haven't basically written off a season to make this change. Because as much as I admire Rebellion, they are likely going to be even further behind on pace this year than they were last year. Even if they've got quicker. And they still could have dusted Kolles with the old package. |

I think the top air box is mandatory, as the one at the Kolles.
