Erki has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

As far as I know it still is John Hartshorne's car (Racesport Peninsula) and is for sale.

Hartshorne is/was supposed to be driving the Chad Racing Panoz (not sure if he will drive now they only got 1 full-seaosn entry)

the mugen engine was damn fine imo, i hope these modifications to the AER turbo powerplant will make the courages and lola's go like they should.

the lola last year apart from the pescarolo was the only properly reliable, bulletproof car, shame about its pedestrian pace compared to the pesca, courage LC70 and zytek's.

I dont think that the Lola was the problem, rather the team running it. The driving line up at Chamberlin wasnt one of the best last year by a long way. RML Showed what the Lola can do however overall, even when running in LMP2. I would be very interested to see what the RML Lola could do in LMP1, I would go as far as to say it would be level with the Pescarolo's and Zytek's.

im not sure the lola was the problem just the engine, the AER turbo unit for P1 was underpowered in a big way, the biggest smoking gun was at petit and laguna were the zytek and dyson lola's, remember dyson had a better driver line up than the works zytek imo.

and creation had the strongest driver line up, and well we all know the dyson lola's were caned by the zytek and creation CA06H to say the least, i think the lola is a fine car imo it was just the AER powerplant.

besides we will see next year anyways, the charouz lola will have a judd 5.5 V10 and the swiss spirit car will have the R8's FSI V8 but i can see the FSI audi engine being a bit underpowered in the company of the new 5.5 V10 judd.

and i agree 100% saleen, RML should go LMP1 they along with ASM portugal and intersport have proven the car is massively quick, up there with the LMP1 cars at some tracks even!

btw what are RML's plans for next year?, same car as last year or is the MG lola EX264 being upgraded to 2007 spec?

It'll be interesting to see the Lola P1 get a good team behind it. I've always been suspicious that the difference in rear end aero treatment works against the P1 version. (I wonder if a non-turbo P1 lola could use the same 'coke-bottle' effect that the P2 employs?) Conversely, it will also be interesting to see if the P2 versions of the Zytek and the Pesca do as well as their P1 counterparts. I'm sure that going from a P1 to a P2 (or vice-versa) with the same basic design isn't a simple matter and that certain things are compromised in the process. The different engine masses and physical sizes and the changes in the centre of gravity must affect things quite a bit. Still, as they say, 'the fun's in the finding out', and it's getting nearer by the day. Really looking forward to this year's racing on both sides of the pond.

hmmmm interesting point there, although it may work in the zytek P2's favour, as the 06 had a very small engine for an LMP1(4.0 N/A V8).

although there is also the courage LC75, del bello noel will be the team im cheering for in LMP2 this year but the new spec lola B07/40's, if there are any in LMP2 in the LMS are going to be the car to beat.

the radical imo is definetely a dark horse for the win, very pretty and very fast in the right hands out of the box, as demonstrated by shorty and rollcentre racing last year.

I understood that Michelin say they cannot service that series, not sure if this is just for GT2, I suppose it must be.

That's interesting - in P1 and P2 Michelin will continue to support teams on both sides of the pond, but in GT2 there will be no European support and almost full field support in the ALMS (only Yokohama on the Panoz interrupts the streak). No word on GT1 in Europe, although the Corvettes will run them over here. (And AF Corse has Michelin for FIA-GT)

It also specifically states that GT2 in Le Mans itself is still a question - it would be strange for North American teams to have their usual Michelins, while the European teams do not.

front page has a picture of radio lemans fm, then a load of writing saying someone has been collecting subcriptions on DSC's behalf, nothing on the barazi epsilon or really to do with sportscars.

and if i click on the lemans series or ALMS logo at the top im prompted for a password, but karem oijeah with gulf colours barazi will have the best looking LMP2 for sure
