I know that Road America tends to have great finishes ('05 and '06) and insane moves (that often stuck, like the race winning pass in '08), however, I don't remember reading or seeing this much contact at Road America in an IMSA race since the race start in '04--the race winning Champion Audi's left side looked like it came back from Martinsville rather than an ALMS race.

belt driven has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I watched the replay. Coverage started with 10 minutes gone and under caution. WTH happened? P2s tangle before start line and shed debris?

Yes they needed energy, they ran and stuck to a different strategy all day. No way anybody could have predicted all the yellow we had today.

Multiple first lap incidents, Not sure why everybody in the race was so hungry to get a position with contact all day.

“I think they pitted the same lap as we did but for sure I knew he had less energy,” he said.
“This was clear because he wasn’t saving anything under the yellows or any of the green laps before when he took off.
“I already knew under the other yellow that for sure I was tight, most likely I wasn’t going to make it, but I also knew there was no chance he was going to make it because what he did wasn’t very efficient.
“They took the aggressive way of doing it and I think we were more on the cautious way and today it paid off.”
He wasn't saving fuel, at least not enough. Still impressive drive by Ricky, he picked up 6 places after the restart.

Yes it was great action but some of the driving was utterly woeful, I know it is hard to race these things at times, but contact should not really be a part of this at every stage, GT3 was pathetic at times. Rockenfeller early on, you have years in cars mate cmon.

And the less said about Tandy the better, surely hanging on to that drive by a thread, yes he can do amazing stuff but so often gets caught doing stupid stuff like that.

I don't know about you but I put the race on and watch what's there. I'm not race control, I'm not running a team so I watch what's available. I also don't get to see every inch of the track with total camera coverage but somehow I make it work

Only two races left. Both part of the Endurance Cup.

Leaders are the same in both championships, despite the different points systems.

I’ve not noticed a difference in team performance across the shorter and longer races, it’s just close whatever.

I need to moan about, I mean discuss this topic. When I watch imsa enduro races the presenters will get to a point and say "there is still a regular length imsa race to go" but if I am thinking about this correctly, only Road America and Laguna Seca are 2:40 races! So the standard distance is now only 2 races with the top class!

In all honesty, the variety of race lengths is a plus and not a minus. Not complaining about the lack of 2-hour 40-minute races, it's great to have shorter Street races as well as longer endurance races

Yeah Indianapolis feels like a shoehorned race in the schedule.

That sucks. Feel like we are losing some manufacturer diversity that we got in 2024. Hope Phaff can get a 2nd car for GTD Am or somebody else can enter a McLaren in 2025.

V.I.R looked great today on TV. I am jealous for missing it. I don't live far from there. But we had a big family gathering in Myrtle Beach we had to go to. But hey its the first time ever my kids had both pairs of their grandparents together at the same time.

I feel like the GTD Am and Pro cars are going to mix together a ton more in this race than in previous events. Fingers crossed for no safety cars. And 3 Mustangs in the top 6. Great stuff there.
